saw an apparition of a man who had fallen off of them some 50 years ago, also in the office of the depot, reports of furniture moving itself and felt a presence of someone else in the room. Even reports of a train coming, when the railroad tracks have been defunct for nearly 50 years.

i have seen the train on this road, we did not hear it coming or hear it even when it was passing us, then as quickly as we saw it it was gone.

dude, we went out there late at night and saw the train many times! but there was one time that i thought was weird, we were going up the road and i was in the back seat looking out the window and i heard the train so i started to look for it, when we saw it, it quickly vanished, sound and all. it was pretty cool, but also pretty creepy. i want to go back out there again. that road is awesome. but next time, i want to see this so called goatman.

I was out there recently and have posted a video with the pictures. Got a few interesting things to share. In that depot, in the daylight, there is an odd shape in the window, I just felt like I was being watched. In the night time this place is very creepy. See my video http://www.youtube.com/user/instantescape or go to my blog www.instantescape.wordpress.com

I have already posted a few times on this one, but the road is indeed quiet eerie to travel at night. I want to find Turley Cemetery though. www.instantescape.wordpress.com for our trip "through the ash." Also, I finally got the video up with pictures and sound. I got some cool "lights" that moved, and a very mysterious "shape" in the woods. See it on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RISKI-sZO-Q.

Yes, the name of the place is, or was, Coaltown.  It first was owned and operated by Junior Thacker (A local minister).  He also owned the former Christmas Inn that still sits deserted just behind Rock Top Market.  He went bankrupt before the theme park was completed.  The last I heard it was owned by some land company and it used to have locked gates to keep people out.  Never have I heard about this place being haunted. They did find panther or cougar prints in Coaltown and also in the mountains around Red Ash.  They would account for the tales we hear of a woman screaming at Red Ash.  Hope this was helpful.

Me, my son, my husband and my mom went to red ash tonight. We were at the train tracks and we was just walking around taking pix, all of the sudden a train come out of the blue with about 5 train cars behind it. We never heard it coming. It wasnt tranparent at all, just mysterious and left mysteriously. Then I saw a black transparant shadowy figure going behind tree to tree, bout the size of a man. In addtion, I took a lot of orb pix and we heard footsteps on another place where we parked about a mile from the train tracks.
