By day shadows follow you if your walking along the road by the graveyard. By night ghostly apparitions have been seen. This place is a popular place for teenagers to party at. If you go over 25 mph over the bridge next to the graveyard your brakes will go out on the vehicle that your driving. Legend has it that a man by the name of Bantley, killed his family and then hung himself in the barn next to the graveyard. There used to be a cult that used the barn for its own religious purposes. A birdbath located in the graveyard, still has bloodstains from the sacrifices that used to be done there. It is also said that too boys were playing tag at night and a hand reached up and grabbed one of the boys' ankles. Because the fright was so strong he died. He was found dead in the graveyard. His friend was found dead just outside the graveyard of reasons unknown. People have seen various ghosts, including a little girl in the tree located inside the graveyard. Needless to say I did not but I got the crap scared out of me when a frog jumped on my head.

So I had to visit it. We went 45 over the bridge, just fine and dandy. We checked the bird bath and it was just a little worn, otherwise it's fine. No blood. All the gravestones are just worn down and nothing really is true for the myths at day. I have yet to venture there at night. If you face towards the woods outside of the graveyard, where there seems to be a building (the barn perhaps) you get a weird feeling. But other than that, I wouldn't deem it haunted.

I've heard the stories about the Satanic cult. and how they summoned demons. i've never seen or experienced any strange phenomenon. I just think it's the kids that go there all the tme. and mess with the property. plus, the birthbath is a flower planter? hahahaha.

AnonymousVisiter 214.13.141.100       Comment# 36726     7/29/2009 3:48:00 AM       Edit / Flag       Reply To This me and a friend went there one night and did the whole drive fast over the bridge...nothing... we went in the cemetary...nothing... but we rememberd we heard that if you stop on the bridge and shut ur car off and headlights and everything your car wont start..well it was dead quiet and everything was off next thing we knew the car started rocking back and forth ( like it was being pushed while in park so it wouldnt go anywhere) it graduallly got harder and we paniced and took off and got out of there. meanwhile once we got back to a friends house we looked at the back of his car where he had dust on the bumper from not washing it well there was little kid handprints on the back of the bumper plain as day. lets say i have my own opinion of it now.

We walked past the graveyard to look for the supposed barn. Well needless to say we never found the barn but we did experience a couple real strange events. First, One of my friends were standing behind the graveyard by the river and she started to walk away. As she did that "something" pulled her hair. We all went back to the car and two of my friends got in and right as they shut their doors they locked. The keys were not in the car. Then when we started to pull away my friend noticed that her power steering was working again and there was no power steering fluid in the car. Lastly, as we were pullin off of the road that the graveyard is on "something" pushed the pedal to the floor. Well later on we decided to go back so we went at about 12:30 that night. We got there and we started walking into the graveyard. Well as we got about half-way into it we stopped and listened and i turned the voice record on on my phone. We kept hearing what sounded like little kids footsteps outside the fence. Then my friend saw something flash in front of the car lights. Almost immediately after I was shining my flashlight in the woods and I saw what looked like a little boy standing in a clearing just staring at me. Needless to say it scared the crap out of me so I jumped and the light moved and once I got the light back to were it was before nothing was there. Well we stayed there and still listened and we could hear even more footsteps. Well I started to shine my light around again and then my friend said he saw a light of somekind in the woods to our left (we were facing straight to the back of the graveyard). Well we walked over to where he saw it and we didnt see anything so I started shining my light around again and back towards where the "birdbath" is I saw a Black figure standing behind it. That was the last straw for me and just as we were about to crawl over the gate I heard a creaking sound in one of the trees towards the back left corner of the graveyard. It sounded like an old rope swing. I got out of there as fast as I could drive. When we were a safe distance away from the graveyard I listened to the voice recording on my phone and heard a couple very interesting things. First, It was very clear when it started and then a lot of static came into the recording. Then I heard a very high pitched beep then i heard all my friends talking and then I started hearing different voices. Female voices. It sounded like two different ones. but at the end of the recording when my friend was asking what i saw immediately after I told him I heard a very audible moan and another very high pitched beep. When we were in the graveyard nobody said anything after I told them what I saw. I still have the recording saved in my phone. It is very creepy and all the "other" voices are much more clear and audible then our own. Well thats my story. Everything that I just stated above is very true. It was not made up and this is not a joke. If you don't believe me you need to go out to "The Baby Cemetery" to see for yourself. You will believe if you don't already.

I live in Rice Lake and partied in the cemetery many times. I did have 2 friends however that both crashed their vehicles on the bridge. They both said the brakes did not work and the steering column locked up before the crashes.

It's been that way for a month at least. Second off, here's my story. Myself and a friend from work were talking about it at work one day, and we decided after our shift we would drive out there and see what all the fuss is about. We drove out there, in 2002 I believe, a few weeks before halloween. It was cold out and there was a light dusting of snow on the ground. We drove accross the bridge doing at least 35, nothing happened. Then we moved up to the cemetery gates, and shut the truck off. We sat and listened for a while before getting out of the truck, but nothing happened so far. We thought it would be funny to go pick another friend up and scare the crap out of him, so we went to pick him up. (This is about 1 in the morning by the way) After he got up, dressed, and we drove back (another 20-30 minute drive again) we got back. We pulled back up to the gate (Before they were closing it all the time) and we shut the truck back off. My friend was rubbing his facial hair on his winter jacket, making sounds of like footsteps on the dry leaves. My other friend was freaking out, totally going for it. We thought this was pretty funny but held back our laughter. Then we got out of the truck, and walked around in the graveyard. Nothing was happeneing out of the ordinary, just old headstones. After about 10 minutes or so, we decided to take back off, so we started heading back to the pickup. All of the sudden I tripped in the snow. I don't think I was pushed, just clumbsy. After getting back up, I decided to see what I tripped over. I uncovered the stone (Which was a flat one, one of the old veteran ones) After I wiped the stone off a few times, I looked at the dates, then began reading the name. Just as I was reading the name on the stone, You could hear a very LOUD scream come from what seemed to be in the graveyard with us. I stood up as fast as I could, looked for my friend that was driving us around, and he was coming towards me. I looked for my other friend, who had already high jumped the fence (He was in track) and was sitting in the middle seat of the pickup. We got into the pickup and took off after confirming what we had all heard. Our night of curiosity and messing around trying to scare my one friend turned out to be an experience I will never forget. We still to this day don't know for sure what it could have been. (We figured Bobcats and other wildlife, but we've all heard those types of animals before, and this sounded human) This graveyard just has an eerie feeling to it, so it sets a good mood for ghost hunting, but as for the sacrafices, cults, the bush and the birdbath myths, I haven't seen anything to prove any of it true. And as for the bridge thing, well, I think that's just bad shape vehicles or perhaps intoxicated drivers. As a final note, if you're going to this cemetery, go through it with respect for the deceased. I'm sure police are patrolling it more than ever after last year's abduction of one of the child's corpses. Whoever did this, I hope, is brought to justice. They are a sick person or people, and you make all of the people who want to go and try to experience this so called "Haunting" look suspicious and bad. Don't defend or hold information for these sick individuals, turn them in, so that child's body can once again rest in peace.

AnonymousVisiter 174.124.26.234       Comment# 45692     12/15/2009 12:35:00 PM       Edit / Flag       Reply To This when u park by the gate, turn off all equipment. go there about 12:30 a.m. sit and become one with the nature. do not look in ur mirrors. do not step on graves. if u get a feeling as u should leave then u should. be warned, somtimes u take home somthing u did not come with....do not go there exspecting to have fun, go there exspecting to find answers, go peacefully but not passivly... i dont recomend traviling very far into the graveyard....jus sitting in the car will get u results
