Location Description:

Strange noises and sightening have been reported and the 3rd floor is said to be haunted by a man in dress pants. An old patient is said to be seen wandering the halls through out the building. The most haunted part of the building is the Basement where the Morgue is located. Strange things such as the motion detecter going off rapidly when no one is around, the sewing machine starting, cries of help, sounds of whimpering and crying, and a man`s shadow and muttering have been heard. Ten groups, (four groups of 1, two groups of 2, two groups of 3, a group of 4, and a group of half of a schooling college class), have reported hearing a woman`s voice whisper "Help Me." at seperate times. And six groups, (two groups of one, three groups of three, and one family tour), have reported a man running towards the elevator bellowing "Why are you here? Get out!".

My fiance and two sons visited the museum in July 2008. As we walked away from morge and began down the hall we heard a loud bang behind us like a metal pan falling. There were no other visitors in this area. We quickly left this area and ran upstairs. It was scary.

I visited this location in 2001. My ex husband was an employee of the hospital, and took me for a tour of the museum. While down in the morgue area, I had an extreme feeling of panic and heard a sound like a door slamming. My ex heard it too and concluded that someone must be working down there. There was nobody in that area with us at all!

I visited this museum in April of 2008 and had an experience right by the cigarette and TV display.  I was reading the letters that the gentleman wrote to then President Nixon and inserted into the TV and commented to my wife that the man was a bit messed up.  As we turned to walk down the hall to the next area, the lights went off and then on again and I turned to my kids and asked if they did that - they did not.  We were the only ones on the floor at the time.  It was at that point that I immediately had an incredibly uncomfortable feeling and the left half of my body went extremely cold, all the way through.  I can't explain it well, but I felt that whatever I experienced was incredbily angry and I had a sense of dread and all I could do was panic and bolt.  I whisked my family away to the next floor and explained to them what happened.  The kids, of course, wanted to go back, but the feeling I got from that experience scared the heck out of me.  When we went back to the hotel, I looked on the internet to see if it was haunted.  I'm just glad I didn't see the guy at the elevators.

My boyfriend spent 6 months st. joesph hospital, which is now a correctional facility (Prision) and had heard a bunch of ghost stories. One night as he slept his covers were ripped off him whild his bunk mates remained asleep. He was so scared he couldnt get up to use the restroom. This is all he experienced though. He made friends with one of the white shirt wardens. He asked the warden to show him and his buddy the downstairs. He did, and he said it was a huge tunnel as far as he could see. There were chains and paint covering the wall. The warden had told him that they would chain up the crazies and let the finger paint. He said he had a really eerie feeling. The hospital for the insane tested new age treatments for the mentally ill, involving human hamster wheels, ice tanks, and tranqulizer holding chairs creepy!
