Anyone who knows me will tell you the simple answer as to who my favorite band is. But because many of you do not know me, I will take great pleasure in expressing my feelings about a certain 70`s Rock band. Queen is with out a doubt, one of the most inovative bands in the history of Rock and Roll. The sounds they made with their voices and instruments were unlike anything else in that era. Queen was so far ahead of their time. Brian May, my Guitar Hero, built his OWN guitar. Him and his father built it out of things from around the house. And to produce the sound that he did from that is somthing heroic right there. Freddie Mercury has an absolutely exquisit and unique singing voice. When he was on stage he didnt just stand there and pour into the microphone...oh no... Freddie PERFORMED. He was so animated on stage and brought the music to life. Roger Taylor is the singing voice you hear at an impossibly high octive. Eventhough his voice is more rough and manly, he can hit those high notes when doing more dramatic songs. And then there`s good ol` Johnny Deacon. The bassist of the group. The song that I can remember that portrays his talent really well is in The Millionaire Waltz. At the begining of the song, Freddie is playing the piano, and then you hear this unusual sound happily intertwine with the piano notes. That was Johhny`s bass. I think it was very interesting to hear a different form of the bass as far as sound is concerned. Sadly, however, Queen is not as memorable now a days as one would hope. When most of the young generation hears the word "Queen" their minds automatically trail to "Oh Freddie died because he had AIDS. He was Gay!". Queen is also remembered for "We Will Rock You." "We Are The Champions" "Another One Bites The Dust" "Bohemian Rapsohdy" "Fat Bottomed Girls" and "Bicycle Race". Most of those songs are classics no doubt, but they are all mostly of the newer Queen. It is disapointing to see all the older stuff be unrecognized by today`s youth. Queen`s older albums in MY opinion, are the best. People aren`t as open minded these days about music. And that is quite unfortunate. I wish Queen was rememberd for their divine talent and animated concerts, rather than the lead singer`s sexual orientation and overplayed songs. Ah well. Life will go on. Anywho, for everyone`s information I find that all four of these fine English gents are sexy. I would do them all at the same time anytime of the day. ^.^ Brian May and Roger Taylor especially XD Even if Freddie IS gay, I`d still do him! So now that you all know about my absolute obsession, I hope that someone shares these thoughts and beliefs. The Cars Pat Benatar Thin Lizzy The White Stripes Pink Floyd Iggy Pop The Rolling Stones are alright Alanis Morisette Queen No Doubt Cyndi Lauper Johnny Cash Queen Benny Benassi There are more but I need to think...
