Walter Schroeder died a peaceful death in Milwaukee, where he was a lifelong resident. He gave generously to Marquette University, which built the Walter Schroeder Health Sciences and Education Complex.

I'v been a lifelong resident of the Fond du Lac area. When i was in elementry school, a girl told my friends and I about this because her mom worked there. She said that in the ballroom a woman dances and Walter sometimes stops the elevator and does jokes on people. I know this to be true but when we stayed overnite we didn't experience anything unusal. I think TAPS should check this location out.

My group did an investigation here about a year ago. It was inconclusive, but we did some research on the history and were at least able to verify that a woman named Carolyn Ann Stebor did indeed jump to her death from the window in Room 717.
