Location Description:

Memorial Union is supposedly built on an Indian burial ground. The 2nd floor of the building is haunted. Right before walking down the stairs to the pool hall, an old lady was seen, dressed in clothes from the 1800`s, standing at the top of the stairs leading from the first to the second floor, at second glance she disappears. Also, if brave enough to venture to the 2nd floor a strange feeling of not being alone will overcome you, and clocks and watches will spin out of control.

AnonymousVisiter ** US	my grandma used to work the box office a lonnnng time ago(she worked their for 20 yrs) and my dad has told me that when she worked there she would see this lady and this older man that was dressed as a janitor and woud appear back where the hidden staircase is (which im not sure where it is exactly)...and when asked what he was doing would reply that he came to clean the floors and then disappear. My dad also told me that she would hear or see stuff quite often that was unexplainable

giantblueox Last Seen: 6/1/2012 2:17:48 PM	The union is not as spooky as this description makes it out to be. Many students and Madisonians hang out here at all hours (on all floors!) and go about their studying/eating/drinking without having any inkling that it would be haunted. Though I have to admit I have felt uncomfortable in some less-frequented study rooms there.
