Location Description:

highway rest stop (reported by Dumpgoddess. Verified by Sid and also Becky, who says she was almost arrested asking what the hell they were doing there when they were building this thing)

Dumpgoddess told me she used to work at a highway rest area known as Munds Park. One day some military trucks and men pulled in and pretty much said OK, thanks for working here, we`re closing the place, Buh-bye!" They spent years expanding the site and then left. The rest stop is still closed to any traffic and the entrance and exit road to it from the highway have been ripped up. Another person I know in that area said there are unmarked military trucks and vehicles parked in the back now and the place "is huge" compared to what it was, and looks quite deserted in spite of the construction.

"I live 20 miles out of Flagstaff AZ. .There is a rest area 1/2 mile away. When the government was building this rest area it took almost 3 1/2yrs to complete, and there were tall fences with dark canvas-like tarps all the way around the area so no one could see what was going on .There were also big army looking trucks pulling in and out all night, every night. Everyone in Munds Park could hear them coming and going. Now the govt. is closing the rest area for good. I`m told the fences will be put back up. I would bet my life on the fact that there is something under this rest area. You see I worked at Christensen (name of rest area) up untill a week ago.

AnonymousVisiter ** -	The rest area was closed because of lack of water -- not governmental activity. Sounds to me that the correspondent spent a little too much time at either Joe's Place or the Zoo Club in Flagstaff. Besides, there would be NO "attendant" per se at a rest area. They are taken care of by the highway department, ADOT.

AnonymousVisiter ** US	I'm not big on conspiracy theories or the supernatural...but I thought it was interesting how you can do a Google maps street view jaunt right down highway 17, looking at all the pretty scenery until it becomes blurred and blotted around this stretch of the highway.

AnonymousVisiter	special forces did close the site an they did a good job except for some the rock they left that came from the under ground looked for the entrance its hid very well , i watched work on the area when they were there they put up blinders on the highway side so people couldn't see in, i seen this group before.they drive government vehicles but are subcontractor they use deadly force.somebody found out about this site so they closed it, because of the Bradshaw mountain ranch they opened it here because mcain was running for office,if he won they were prepared there are many more of them around. an they closed a few of them too like the one on cave creek an the 101 freeway. their is a lot more to this story.

AnonymousVisiter ** US	I think what Is interesting Is when your on Google maps, and you go for a street view that area Is all blurred out from the freeway from the entrance to the exit, then back to normal

AnonymousVisiter ** US	This explains everything. I go to NAU, and when driving home to phoenix one night I saw three massive UFO triangles in formation at low altitude (I witnessed the phoenix lights as a child too). I pulled over about a mile from Munds Park, where I watched them land in the forest. I tried to take pictures with my camera phone to no avail. I had a similar experience a few months later near sunset point where I saw a triangle fly over I-17 heading northwest towards Crown King. No one seems to believe me, but I tell people everyday there's a base somewhere out there. I think I'll snoop around the rest stop some night when I get a chance...

AnonymousVisiter	We were driving up to Flagstaff from Phoenix around May 2010. We both saw a white 'orb' or 'sphere' moving from west to east that was visible to the north of us. We were almost to flagstaff at this point. When we got to Flag there were was a new fire that just started. A couple days earlier a major fire started up there. The next day after our hiking at lava river cave a 3rd, new fire broke out. I still wonder if it was related to the ufo we saw. Ancients called them gods of fire, wind, water, etc...Indians called san francisco peaks sacred. Every sacred area seems to have a connection with ufo's. Google 'tether incident'. Ufo's are everywhere. New Jersey got reports of UFO's in 2009, then suddenly there's earthquakes days after. NJ does not get earthquakes, except tiny ones once every few decades.
