Description:
Had an old church next to the cemetery that was built in the 1800's. It is said that a young girl and her little brother were walking home one night in the early 1900's. They decided to cut across the cemetery. A bear chased them into the churches' bell tower were they were killed. It was said that you could go to the church at the stroke of twelve midnight and here the little children screaming. You can also here the bear with them as the church bell would ring. Now there is a new church built and the old bell tower has been relocated.

I can't find the name of the church now, but get on 217 to Long Branch Rd. (NOT Long Branch Cemetery Rd.) and take it ALL the way back past the houses and into Jennings State Forest - don't call me if your car gets stuck on the dirt road path. It's a few miles back, but worth the trouble. Got some great EVPS.

The cemetery at the end of Long Branch Road is not Black Creek Cemetery. It is Nolan Ridge. Black Creek Cemetery is in Middleburg, (Penney Farms) Fl. Nolan Ridge is said to be very haunted. see www.lowcountryparanormal.com

I`m Kathy Nolan Osteen this is my family cemetery, my great grandfather Henry Nolans little sister Julia (12) was the first person buried there. Nolan ridge at one time was a old school, and after Julia was buried there it became a cemetery My great grandparents on my dads side and my moms side are buried there (Lewis and Wealthy Taylor) (Henry and Anne Nolan) Anne has no headstone. My Grandparents on both sides are there (hiram and Eva Nolan) Martin and Caldonia Stratton) My parents (Eddie and Ollie Nolan)) I have 7 brothers there 4 without headstones, (Bobby Nolan) Mack Nolan and just last year Claude (Doug Nolan) This cemetery was started with Nolan Family only (Della Nolan married a Padgett. I have been ther many times day and night and never hva I seen or heard anything haunted. I have never heard the story about the children and the bear

Ms.Osteen the cemetery that you are talking about is not Black Creek, the one you are talking about is in close proximity.Black creek is actually off Blanding blvd.aka 21 as soon as you pass 218 going to Orange park, vere to the right onto Main street and you will find Middleburg Methodist Church the cemetery behind it is black creek cemetery.I've been there twice and I have caught a few evps and alot of orbs(questionable)and some other figures that resembles faces and either a doll or a small child. I just recently went on my 2nd visit and we caught an evp that sounds like a little girl. However the story about the bear and the children I do not know if it is true, but the story is if you get there at midnight you will hear children screams and a bears growl i didnt hear either but i was there at midnight both times thats when we caught what we did.

I have never heard of Paranormal Date Night, are you still an active group? We have our own team & we are in Middleburg as well. Oldest City Paranormal. Looking for some places around the are to investigate. Do you know who to contact at the Black Creek Cemetary? We would love to do that one sometime. Thanks. Feel free to check out our FB page and get in touch with me that way :)
