Description:
Many people have had strange things happen in this graveyard. The most significant of which can occur almost any night. After dark if you drive thru the cemetery, near the back stretch over a large crack in the weathered roadway, your car will shift into neutral. This has happened many times to many people. All type of cars and almost all makes.

take st rd 40 east from downtown to 8th st, turn left by walgreens, right on 3rd st and follow down to GREENWOOD cemetary which will be on your left. this is a regular hangout of mine, we`ve tried the car deal a few times with no avail, once videotaped and when reviewing footage there is an orb that cam be seen shooting thru a few shots. there are a few other notable hauntings, take the road to the very back of the cemetary and you`ll see a hearse in front of the office which dash lites never go off. the gates have also closed on my friends and i a few times and locked there is another graveyard next door, but be careful .... a man lives in the house next to it and he`s not too friendly.

have been out there a few times andgot some orb activity, but the gates were locked so we couldn't drive in to try out the crack thing. does anyone have any more info on this cemetary or anything else that could be investigated without much trouble? thanks for your time.

It's on third street... Woodlawn Cemetery...

Greenwood is a section of Woodlawn, located in the SW corner of the cemetery. Greenwood at one point stood on it's own, but was absorbed into Woodlawn.

There is a house that sits on a high point on Rt. 464 going West out of Ocala. You go down Rt. 27 and veer off at the Shell station (left). Continue to go West on 464 for about 4 or 5 miles and there will be a one story house on the right at the top of a hill. It has a metal gate, brick front and a seperate, smaller building to the right of it. I will warn you now.....DO NOT TRESSPASS ON THIS PROPERTY OR YOU WILL BE PROSECUTED. IT IS WATCHED BY NEIGHBORS AT ALL TIMES. YOU MAY LOOK OVER THE GATE AND TAKE PICS BUT DO NOT GO INSIDE. IF YOU LOOK LONG ENOUGH YOU WILL SEE MOVEMENT INSIDE. THEN YOU CAN TAKE PICS. If you want to investigate it officially then you'll need to find the present owners to ask permission. The former residents were a Mr. and Mrs. Hill. The story goes that Mr. Hill died in the house and was gone for some time and then Mrs. Hill at one point had a local reverand over for dinner and dropped dead while cooking dinner. The meal was supposed to be a spaghetti dinner. It's said that you can smell spaghetti cooking and hear her stirring around in the kitchen. I believe that she was seen in the kitchen by someone also. And I hear that visitors are not welcome by the resident spirits. It seems to be a very negative atmosphere.

There is also a church that is down Rt 328 going west off of Rt40. It's called Cotton Plant. If you were to continue down 328 it would run into Rt.41 going into Dunnellon. You would turn Left to go towards Dunnellon. Anyway, The church was built in 1844 and was rumored to be a meeting place for the local K.K.K. They met upstairs on the second floor. If you walk through the cemetary you will find gobs of orbs and sometimes if you're patient, evps'. I have felt a sort of presence near the older headstones nearer to the newer building. One pointed headstone especially.....tall and white. I believe that it has a Mason's emblem on it. Good hunting.

While I'm at it.....there is a very small cemetary that you can find by heading west on 40 and turning left at the first BP station. If you go by a small catholic chusch then you've gone too far. You'll follow this road until it ends in a T. Take your right and look on the right hand side about 1000 feet down the road. As with anything else you must treat this cemetary with respect as you would expect others to treat your resting place. And, of course, this applies to all cemetaries and haunted places that you encounter. Treat them right and you will be given more places to explore in the future.
