Location Description:

Right near the Quitman line, take hwy 84 W,turn left at the caution light right before you get to Quitman, and go down to the first dirt road to the left. A dead end... This is an old bridge crossing water that is no longer in use. Said to be used in Satanic rituals many years ago. You park at the dead end and walk the path to the bridge. The minute you cross the dirt path onto the old concrete bridge, you feel the fear and cold. You see images of people walking toward you and can feel them touching you. There is said to be a "line of light" that few can cross. You hear screams and voices and feel a great deal of fear. Very Scary!!- recent update- road is now paved, take a left onto road beside microcraft inc. very freaky little boy seen and heard at the end of the bridge!

AnonymousVisiter ** US	I have lived in Quitman, Ga for about 18 years. My senior year, me and two of my other friends went to Spook Bridge one day while skipping school. The bridge is interesting to look at, but thats about it. None of us felt anything wierd while down there, none of us saw anything abnormal, it was just like any other place except it has many stories behind it and is illegal to go down there. Now people go down there to drink, and party, and stuff.. and just go to say that they went. But from my experience, I say its not haunted. People just psyche themselves out.

AnonymousVisiter	I tried to go to spook bridge alone tonight, as nervous as I was, but cops were parked at the dead end. So, I had to lie that I was lost so they wouldn't arrest me for attempted tress passing and it worked. Unfortunately, I did not get to go out on the bridge or cabin. I am no paranormal investigator and have no proper equipment and I'm only a little superstitious, obviously or I wouldn't have attempted to walk out to the bridge. I had planned to walk around out there and see what I could see and/or feel, but it failed since it is illegal or are the cops trying to keep people out so they can investigate it themselves or for safety or private property... I would really like to get in there for a night or a few hours for a thorough investigation, based on my sense.

AnonymousVisiter A US	I've been there twice. Both times I got EVPs (electronic voice phenomenon). On one section of the bridge a voice told us to "get off." While revewing the recording from the other part of the bridge you can hear me tell my friend that I think people usually come from the other end of the bridge. However, right before I said that a voice, clear as day, say's "and why do they come?" It's a childs voice and it responds to what I say before I say it! We didn't see anything or hear anything while we were there but those recordings are real. I wish I could post them.

AnonymousVisiter ** US	I too have been to spook bridge twice once at night and once during the day. The night visit was definitely very scary. That night a group of 8 people set out to find the satanic cabin at the end of the second bridge. When the group reached the second bridge myself and two other people heard voices talking to us sounding like children. One voice very clear said "get off" and the other said "turn back" i didn't believe in ghost, but that night i changed my mind. The group of 8 decided to split up, 3 of us went back and the other 5 went on the find the cabin. We waited for 15min for the group to return and when they did all of them were out of breath and had a look of panic on their faces. They claim to have seen two red eyes off in the distance in the woods behind the second bridge and these red eyes moved forward at rapid speed. I did not witness this part of the adventure, but I did hear voices and I do believe that the bridge is haunted. If you are going to make the trip to the bridge, make sure you have plenty of flashlights and don't go on holiday like halloween. Cops patrol that area for drug deals and crime. Its real you just have to believe a little

AnonymousVisiter M US	Not everyone is sensitive to any of this, so the ones that didnt' see or feel anything are closed minded, and if you feel that way, no, you won't see or hear anything. I live very close to it and yes, satanic rituals have been held there for many years, since the 1970s. Once during the day, I went there and saw the pentagrams with melted wax. Sure its a teenage hangout, but if you really want to see or hear anything that you can prove, you need paranormal equitment to take with you, what you don't hear at the time, you will probably hear on the recorder when you play it back, just ask a lot of questions. Video cameras are good to take also. Also I took pictures of Ousley Baptist Church Cemetery one night very late and I have never gotten that many orbs in a picture. The later it is the more you will get, I have learned that with the things I have gotten on film.

A long story short I believe that the Satanists called a demon to the bridge. This demon use to haunt the bridge. And is probably responsible for some of the deaths that happened on that bridge that -weren't- car related. However, in the late 1990's, a religious sect, probably Cathlolics came and blessed bridge (A). This drove the demon off the bridge. It can no longer step foot on bridge (A) or bridge (B). However, this demon still resides around the forests surrounding the bridges. You want proof? When you go there, stand on the end of bridge (A) towards the Lowndes county entrance side. Have whoever is with you walk far enough away towards the Brooks county side so that they can't see you and you can't see them. Now listen to the air around you. You will notice you hear no birds singing. No insects chirping. The only sound will be wind and the cars driving on the highway about half a mile away. Now start looking around in the forest. Eventually you will see it. You will see a black shadowy mass standing amongst the trees with glowing red "eyes" staring at you. When you stare at it and it realizes you can see it, it will dissapear. Whatever you do then, don't walk off the bridge. Walk back to your friend. Last but not least, when you are standing on Spook Bridge, you will get the desire from time to time to push the person with you off the bridge. Don't be alarmed that you have this feeling. It always happens when you walk on the bridge with someone else. But mainly, watch your back, because the other person will no doubt get the same sensation as well. The line of light thing is BS.

AnonymousVisiter ** -	Also, the cabin, now completely boarded up with a hurricane fence around was the home of a couple which used to take strolls on the bridges. One night, the husband just pushed her off. He was sent to prison. This happened in the 50's I believe. Also, this area was highly populated area of an extinct Native American Tribe(1 of only 2 in history to be extinct. They were moundbuilders. And a large mound is located on the Lowndes side about 100 meters down the trail, go straight left thru thick woods about 75 meters and you will find it near a small brook. It is very peaceful there. There is an alternate trail to get there about 150 meters further down the main trail take a left and its about a 1/4 mile hike. It is said/legend the Native spirits became very restless when the area was developed as a tourist spot in the 1920's and they retaliated by drying up the spring, burning down the cottages(the ruins do exist, you have to look for them) and by appearing on the bridges while it was still being used as a road and causing many accidents and people to drive off the bridge trying to miss them. I lived in Dosta' for years during the late 70's thru early 90's and if you got high, you were all too well aware of the Satanic activity that occurred in different parts of the county including Spook Bridge. Unfortunately, restless teens have defaced the area and disrespected it for many years. Never go alone, not even in the daytime, I warn you. When Satanists began using the bridge they were so bothered by the other spirits that had collected there that they did summon a demon to protect the bridge where they held their rituals and is rumored sacrifices. Many people have died here violently that has not been made public.

I've been once, many years ago and the bridge does have a lot of symbols, many gang symbols, some Satanic, that are spray painted to the pilliars and the pavement. I went in the daytime to see it, I was only 13 at the time. I plan on going again in the future to investigate it.

Take a left znd go about a mile, the road basically dead ends and turn left onto a narrow paved road. Follow this road until you see on the right drop offs and you will dead end into a build up of dirt. Get out of your car and you will see a ditch at least 4 ' deep and and equally wide. Crawl across this and proceed onto bridge 1(not Spook Bridge) continue for 100 meters and you will be on Spook Bridge. Be very wary of walking off the the bridge onto the Lowndes County side. Do NOT follow the red eyes into the woods....or GOD help you

Be patient, but attentive and alert. Stay on the bridge, do not venture off on the Lowndes side(except during the day) Go in a small serious group. NO JACKASSES! Bring equipment and be patient. Feel Brave? Take the same attitude and climb the fence and go into the cabin off to the left which has a 6' hurricane fence surrounding it. Good luck! AnonymousVisiter V -	Myself, my son and some of his friends went there one night about 1 1/2 months ago and although we didn't make it onto the 2nd bridge, we were a little freaked out to the glow in the water and the fact that you heard no crickets, or anything else and matter of fact, for it to be over water and near the woods, there were no mosquitos either. As soon as my son stepped off the bridge, he got such a severe headache that he fell to the ground and we ended up taking him to the ER to get some relief. He had this headache for about a week after that. We are planning on going back hopefully within the week and plan on taking some equipment with us to record. It was kind of weird.

AnonymousVisiter A US	my friends and i went out there and felt many different things.the first time we went on the bridge we had 5 girls and 2 guys. One of the girls felt sick and was cold to the touch so we helped her and one of the guys to the cars and waited tell they left. then the rest of us split up three 2 girls and 1 guy walked the bridge again and the other 2 girls stayed at the car. The two by the car got a flash of fever at the same time that the 2 girls on the bridge did. the group on the bridge took pictures, we have not developed them as of yet. one girl got sick and turned yellow another picked up on a little girls spirit and the other two fell to the ground in a small epilleptic episode once off the bridge. Can anyone tell us exactly where the breack in the bridges is we are planning a return trip and would like to know so we can further this case study.

AnonymousVisiter A US	I went to the bridge last night in high hopes of seeing something. We parked and one of our friends stayed in the car, for he had been there already and was freaked. I read all the writings on the trail leading to the bridge and I had a bad feeling. Before stepping on the first bridge I read the final warning and was having feeling we shouldn't be there. It being the satanist bridge I was screwed from the get go. I have a pagan tattoo on the back of my neck. Most likely the reason what happened did in fact happened. I was last to step foot on the bridge. As soon as I took a few step towards the broken rails, a blood curling scream happened three times. We thought it was our friend. But no guy like him could make that kind of scream. It freaked us out and we ran. I saw something and I can not explain what it was but as I was running I felt something chase me. All I could feel was despair and fear. I plan on going back in the day time to take some pictures and will go back one night when I am not so scared.

AnonymousVisiter A -	ive been to the bridge. it was me and eight of my closest friends. three girls and six guys. while on the bridge i didnt really see anything that was haunting. but while on the bridge i did hear footsteps in the small water puddles behind me. i never got the feeling to push any of my friends off, but i did get really nervous when i got really cold, and the temp in the truck read 75 degrees. the girls did not cross the bridge, and they stood back and watched us go. they said that they remained ok, b/c they could see our light the intire time, but that was impossible b/c the bridge is half a mile long, and we had to weeve in an out of the branches on the bridge. so something does go on, and i cant explain it. for anyone that wants to go out there be careful, and dont go to the cabin cause there is a six foot fence that you have to jump, and theres no need in getting cought.

There is a family with a farm who live within viewing distance of the bridge. They're on higher ground than the bridge is. They have a small farm, so don't be alarmed if you hear roosters. I was at first, but then realized where the noise was coming from. Some friends and I are trying to get permission to go fix the bridge up some. Please don't use this beautiful area as a spray-paint canvas. We saw a newt under the bridge but, other than him (we named him Capone), we haven't seen any life at all. No crickets... nothing. Even the water seems dead. Great area to do some hiking and climbing in during the day. Night time isn't a great time to be on or near the bridge. After seeing the little girl, something climbed up on the side of the bridge and started chasing us. It was tall and black. We ran back to the car (Quitman side). I have no idea how this thing got onto the bridge from how far down it was. It would literally have to scale a tree in half a second to be able to make this height. Also, there was a real boy who gave me the creeps more than the ghost-like girl ever thought about doing. He was in the area on two of my three visits. He won't talk to me - just stares and acts like he's about to stab me with a knife or something. I waved and he just stopped his car on the side of the road and watched us leave. Didn't wave back. Looks to be about 16. The first time we came, he was just standing on the side of the road like he was waiting on us. I waved that time too - no response from him. I guess it's just a kid trying to creep people out (it worked!). I've been having nightmares about him. I've had nightmares ever since the day I first visited this place, but that's not uncommon for me. They have gotten worse and spread over areas/situations I've never heard about or seen. It's almost like I'm remembering someone else's past.

I have told you, the relative in the blue house on the Brooks County side is who you need to approach about permission to go onto the bridge legally. Limit your group to 4 max and bring equipment. Be patient and aware of your surroudings. Look folks, I have been here many times, and also have went alone b4(don't do this!) because you will have problems verifying experiences and evidence, though you may get the poop scared out of you and set records for sprinting back to your car! I am like a magnet for entities, and you may not posess this trait, but, ask in evps for the spirits to commune with you and wait at least 30 seconds for a response. Please invest in a digital voice recorder(analog has too much noise) Do not go when its very cold. Go when the temps are moderate when you can physically sense temp drops(like 60-70 base degree weather) Bring a digital temp gauge and night vision cams. It never hurts to have a nice digital still cam like a Canon Rebel SLR XTI also. AnonymousVisiter	ok so im not impressed. i went last night about midnight with no more than a group of four like mentioned in previous articles. these individuals were completely serious about the situation and all had our own set of rules and agreed to no screwing around. we approached the bridge from both angles, both not reachable by vehicle. the first had to piles of ruble in the road and graffiti on the ground saying enter at your own risk. down the path we ran into some brush and decided to find another way. the other side was a metal gate with a shot up stop sign. we traveled down a road for a wile and came across the beginning of the first bridge and noticed a poorly drawn demon face on the ground with red eyes. (red eyes) gee.. i wonder were i read about that. i continued across the bridge and down the path to a clearing. we noticed bridge two off behind a shadowy tree line and hopped up the four foot step onto the bridge. what i saw next horrified me. most of the bridge was covered in vines and graffiti. aside from the retarded satanic signs and BS writing it was very peaceful. we explored the bridge respecting the fact that it is very old and tried investigating what we read about. i did hear some noises but could have easily been a falling branch or a small animal. nothing unusual aside from being spooked out about rumors of drug deals being done down there and we couldn't see much. this strange white line i heard about, never saw anything that resembled that. the strange glowing red eyes kinda seemed redundant after the art work prior so we kept that in mind when we didn't see them. it was warm but not too warm so if there were any cold spots we would have noticed. there was a full moon out if that should have helped.. we took some digital pics and voice recordings but either came up inconclusive. we stayed till around one am and finally decided to call it quits. all in all i would say its a nice bridge to visit and i wish people would stop defacing it. im not trying to disprove anything anyone has said about the place but i didn't see a single thing that would make me suspect this bridge as being haunted.

We have had voices telling us to leave or die, many voices asking for help. Seen many shadow figures and glowing eyes. The last time i was out the i went with three other people. We got to the first bridge and were getting lots of hits on the k-2, then we kept hearing rustling coming from the woods an it followed us for about 10 min so i shined my flashlight towards the sounds didn't see anything that could be making the noise but did see the leave and tree branches move like something was walking towards me. After noticing that we decided to head back to our vehicle the noise followed us all the way back to our vehicle. On the way back home on 75 a large black SUV Jumped onto the interstate and tried to hit my vehicle, i swarved and got some damage from debrise that came when the black SUV ran thru a fence. I know it sounds pretty out in left field but i can only tell you what happened and dont know if the SUV was Related But the SUV seamed to disappear when i pulled of the road.

We recently conducted a full investigation of the location which included the bridge and surrounding wooded areas. We did this with full permission fom the proper authorities. We did hear rustling in the woods and strange noises. The thing that you have to remember is that wild animals tend to roam wooded areas. The only hits we got on our EMF meters were traced to the line of active power poles that run through the area. The closest thing to a demon that we discovered in the woods was a huge spider that didn't look very friendly. There was no "line of light" to be found. There are subdivisions on both sides of the bridge that can account for any EVPs that are picked up. We did get a few odd pictures which can be viewed at http://nlpsghosts.webs.com/apps/photos/album?albumid=8767964. They are pretty neat pictures, but are more then likely completely explainable. I honestly believe that any paranormal activity can be attributed to the gothic design of the bridge, the darkness, and the stories of ghosts. The power of suggestion is the bogeyman here. Both Lowndes and Brooks County Sheriff Deputies are being told to arrest anyone caught trespassing at this location. While the road and Bridge are county property, it had been deemed "condemned" which makes trespassing illegal. Please, for the sake of others in this field, always get permission before investigating.

Before we went we stoped by two cemeterys and caught some orbs. When we went we first went on the Lowndes side cause i live in Lowndes. In one orb we zoomed in on it and we could make out a skeolten face. I thought it was cool. On the next day we went back took look at the cabin and walk the whole bridge this time. The cabin was pretty cool and scary. We walk all the way that we could see the other side of the yellow gate that was the Lowndes side cause we came from the Quimtim side. AnonymousVisiter ALABAMA US	me and 3 other people went on july 9th i didnt know it was illeagal. as the road got more narrow i felt the worst fear i was shaking like a leaf, almost had a panic attack. im not a very scared person i mean i had just left burnt church cemetary. i walked all through the grave yard late @ nite and did not have this fear. i didnt even get out of the car here. i gave my husband the camcorder. when we left i played it back and there was a couple of times there is a horrible hi pitch screech on there we didnt hear it while we were there. has anyone else seen teenage boys walkin down that road late @ nite? we talked to them for a minute they wanted to take us back down there. they said my husband didnt go far enough back there. they say they practically live back there it was strange... i said no ive had enough for one night, thnx

AnonymousVisiter ** US	OK so I have lived in Lowndes County my entire life. I have only been to spook bridge once and that was all it took. There is no way to explain some of the things that happened around dark. You can believe what you want but do that there were many people whose lives came to a very violent and abrupt end on or near the bridge.

And also the old log cabin. i have never not one time seen or heard anything abnormal. i'm not saying that i don't believe but everytime i went nothing has ever happened out of the ordinary.. And the teenage boys ya'll met were probably my cousins. they live down there. but remember going to Spook Brigde IS ILLEGAL and they have been arrested for going down there..they haven't been back since. but anyways.. i have never seen anything.. neither on the bridge or inside the log cabin. Although seeing the sight is very remarkable and interesting to me. i think that everyone should atleast go there once. LEGALIZE SPOOK BRIDGE!!!

AnonymousVisiter	I lived in Valdosta,GA in 18 years. While I was recording on my EVPS during at Spooky Bridge, all I heard is "get out" loud and clear. And on my night vision camera, all I see is nofthing. Going to investments there again, as long the cops are not there. Pretty whacked!

AnonymousVisiter * US	ok check it out i lived on that road i was about 6 houses down from it me and my boys would go down there all the time we heared the storys and we cant say whats real or not but i lived there for 2 years and i slept in that cabin in the woods by the real road traks for other people living in quitman and yeah its illegal to go down there but other then that in my time yeah i was freaked out its a natrual thing to feel scared in a place like that but ive never seen anything nor haave i heared voices but hey im not saying its real or fake im just saying ive never had anything odd happen

AnonymousVisiter * US	i have been twice now the first time was back in oct. 2011 and the second time was just last week feb. 2012 the first time i went i had to convince a couple of guys to go with me they were scared to death it was funny so we went down looking for the bridge it took a while but we finally found it as we were walking across i was not looking up and was wearing a hat and did not see this noose hanging there and got smacked in the face by it one of my friends cut it down then we kept on walking across once we were near the other end we heard so mucis coming from up around where we parked it started to grow louder and then quite again then as we made our way back to the truck it started to grow louder the guys gave me a compass and my flashlight and told me to stay at the bottom of the hill while they went up and checked things out and if they were not back in 20mins to go west they finally came back and we left then second time i went i took 3 other guys with me and we walked down to the bridge and walk across it a couple of times then sat on it and waited but nothing happened then we started yelling and fussing and telling the ghost to show us they were their but nothing happened so we left devistated i now hear that there is a haunted cabin in the woods by the bridge i plan to go back so if anyone knows where the cabin is call or txt me at 7623233289 thanks so much Toyota Girl

AnonymousVisiter GEORGIA US	I went to spook bridge about a year ago, and it was definately very interesting. I went with my boyfriend and best friend. Alot of weird stuff went on out there! We have photograhs of some shocking images. My boyfriend and I took a picture togeather and when we got back home and printed the picture, there was a white figure( it looked to be like a female) beside me on the bridge. It indeed was a great experiance. We are going back out there tonight, in hope to get more interesting photographs. :) If anyone would like to see the photograph email me at monicagrant60yahoo.com
