This is obviously a sensitive issue and location. Even though it may be hard, please respect others and their side of the story. As with all accidents and hardships, people form their stories depending on how they were informed about the incident and who they were related to within the accident. As far as names being removed, that can be done. You can contact the website's administrators/owners by going under the strangeusa.com drop-down menu up above. It's true, a girl named Bonnie did die here. She has a memorial at bonnie-mcmurray.memory-of.com.
This is a very sharp curve and there have been many accidents here over the years. There is a white cross hanging on the tree that too these kids life.
hi I am Alyssa P. and i am 10 now and just here to say that some of your stories are true. I don't want to be Disrespectful to the members of the McMurray family but like, most of everyones stories are about ninety-nine percent right. the supernatural and the para normal can be pretty un-predictable I have no idea about yall's stories but heres mine.straight from the truth:
When i was about three yrs old I lived in a trailer in New Baden at the time and one day I went completely wack!!!! I screamed and ran to my dad I Said "Black guy with red eyes and NO FEET!!!!He tried to play with me!!!!" My dad told me it was just my eyes playing tricks and i replied firmly "NO". Then my dad just went on with his day and he said to my mom to stop putting "Ghost Busters" On the television.after about two months i saw the same thing except i told him It tried to hurt me.Well that was the last time I saw it until I was exactly 9 yrs old.My brother and I were In our house in Belleville and we lived there since i was 5. He's 2 yrs younger than me so me and him had drawn pic's in crayon on the ledge of the staircase and i was reading them and all of a sudden the top stair creaked and the ledge moved i looked up and there it was i screamed and ran past it down the stairs and i fell and almost sprained a bone luckily i escaped with a bloody nose and an interesting story.
See the superntural can be VERY un predictable but I have another comment about paranormaL objects while I was at the bridge here in Millstadt I heard screaming twice, then I heard a dog bark four times!!and then a old rusty white truck with no license plate and one headlight on followed us and dissapeared!
yours truly,
Alyssa
Does anyone know anymore local millstadt legends? I've lived here most of my 29 yr. life, and this is interesting to me. I hated History growing up, but local history is cool. With enough information, i could write an article for the paper.

Growing up in the Millstadt area for approx. 10 years, I lived a couple of miles north, at the corner of Town Hall Road and Hwy. 163. Any and every time we would drive by what was or is Zingg Road, I would always look down that road, but never saw a vehicle traveling on that road. The road never had a sign indicating the name of the road. Always looking down that road, gave me a scary and eerie feeling. Never drove down it and never wanted to either. Never heard of all the stories or it being haunted until just recently. I find it very interesting, but somehow not surprising. Very sorry for the loss of life many years ago or what may go on now on that road. Strange road.
