Location Description:
Glowing dots have been seen floating in mid air, wolfs howling, and sounds of feet running and when you look there isn`t anything there. There is a NO TRESPASSING here. You MUST have permission. You could get shot. so absolutly DO NOT GO AT NIGHT. The cemetery probably went unmolested for a long time, but in the 70`s a satanic cult began holding rituals there. The cult vandalized the cemetery, and the leader installed a "devil`s chair" in the center. He would supposedly sit in this chair during the rituals, and it was cursed so that if anyone else ever sat in the chair, they would die within a year. Once area high school kids found out about this, the bold and curious would go out to the cemetery to look for signs of the cult`s activities. They often found mutilated animals and stubs of burned candles inside the cemetery. Legend has it that groups who tried to visit the cemetery at night would sometimes see a fire burning there, and get chased off by people wearing long black hooded robes. At some point the local Sheriff got tired of the cemetery attracting local teens. After all, it was private property and they were trespassing. He didn`t believe the chair was cursed but decided that removing it would make the place less of a tourist attraction. The chair was made out of stone, and actually rather small. The seat was a round stone column, less than a foot and a half in diameter, which rose out of the ground about a foot. Four equally spaced stone columns rose up from the seat and supported the arms and backrest. Supposedly, attempts were made to remove the chair with a shovel, sledgehammer, and even a bulldozer but it wouldn`t budge. Explosives finally blew off the four columns, arms, and backrest. The round base with four little nubs on it was still left.
