Location Description:

Stokely Mansion An apparition of a man walking a dog has been seen. An apparition of a brunette woman running out the side porch door and jumping into an awaiting carriage, people have been gently pushed off the dog walk, chills forbidding feelings also noted. Gondolas running without water under them. People having tea in the Japanese Tea House in the middle of the night. Note: The mansion does not have a driveway at the side porch itself. Any carriage at it would have been in the formal gardens or in the swimming pool.

AnonymousVisiter * US	i visited that school. i also was told by the ppl giving the tour that n the administrations office it is haunted. it is where Stokely was to have killed himself. also u are to walk up the bridge n threes and ask if timmy is there. a ghost of a woman is said to come out and go thru u. the person that is n the middle will eventually die first. i know what im talkin bout cause i went for a visit as i mentioned and i was told this. plus my sister graduated from there. AnonymousVisiter	I've been to the Stokely Mansion many times before. The first time I went there was when I was about 10 years old. When I went there I didn't know anything about the place, all i knew was that Mr. Wheeler built the house. I didn't know that it was supposely haunted. My sister and I swore we saw a black mass shaped like a human walk from one door to another. At first we didn't think anything of it till all 4 of us (My mom, dad, sister and I) heard the piano from the main staircase go off. As we went to investigate nothing was there. The second time I went there, I went back as a paranormal investigator. I had equipment and everything. We got a couple of big spikes and a whole bunch of EVPs. It was quite an adventure. I love that place to deaeth! I'm FOR SURE the Stokely Mansion is haunted! (:

AnonymousVisiter INDIANA US	I work in Stokely Mansion right now, and I have only heard stories of what has happened. Nothing has happened to me though. First, some of the workers have had weird things happen to them. Like hearing footsteps when no one is there, unexplained hand prints on a desk where a worker was sitting, candles blowing out. A student commited suicide in Doyle Hall and they do not allow students to live in that room. It is used as a sample room to show campus visitors. Claire had a couple of girls use a Ouija board and later experienced some things and had to eventually have a priest come bless the room. No one is allowed to live in that room either. The whole Timmy thing on the dog walk is just a joke uperclassmen play on freshman on Halloween. Nothing happens. I have personally gone up to the attic where the dog would not go, and it is kinda creepy, but nothing weird. I have yet to experience anything, but I do believe what the other workers here have said to be true.

AnonymousVisiter ** -	As a former employee of Marian, I can tell you that Allison Mansion, Stokley Mansion, Clare Hall and Fischer Hall are all haunted and that there have been deaths in all those locations. Stokley: I saw a full body apparition (no head) in the room left of the foyer, I heard doorbells ring that have been disconnected from electricity, I know a police dog would not go up the stairs to the third floor. Original owner Frank Wheeler committed suicide there in the main bedroom's bath with a shotgun to the head. Allison: I know why keys turn up missing only to return a few days later. A nun used to collect keys. Although deceased, she still playfully hides them. I know who haunts the bedroom (Mrs. Allison)and the old billiards room (James Allison)and I was physically punched in the chest while standing in an empty poker room. I know more but have been told to never speak of them. Go find out for yourself.

AnonymousVisiter	That's amazing. My dad used to work at Marion and him too had "weird outgoings" that happened to him when he worked the Mansion at night. He always takes my sister and I back to the Mansion and do a little searching for Mr. Wheeler himself.

AnonymousVisiter R -	When I was a boy, my uncle used to clean and prep the allison mansion. I used to sit in the marble room at the piano and always felt compelled to go into the basement. When I did the door shut and locked and I felt as if someone was watching and coming towards me. I stayed close to the wall by the pool until someone came and got me out. I also used to walk the stairs and felt the same feeling of dread come over me. My uncle use to light candles for a room next to the kitchen. I remember those candles being blown out and he would constantly relight them. Also the elevater was always out of service and my uncle always told me a ghost would give me a lift if I asked..I never went to find out.

AnonymousVisiter ** US	I never encounter any of the B.S. I am reading on this site. I was in the Allison house alot over the years. I have been in the Wheeler estate, where Frank shot himself. Been there many times. Not once was there any type of hauntings. I have been in the Fisher estate many times also. Nothing to report on! I have been all over the campus and never seen any apprations. I had a buddy who worked security Marian College. Many a night I wandered the campus with him and many a night we would sit and chat at the Allison, Fisher and Wheeler estates. Not one time did we see or hear anything unusal. I am into paranormal! I have seen appartions and heard voices before. But NOT one time did I hear or see what you folks are talking about at those homes or on the campus.................Ghost Walker

AnonymousVisiter ** US	I went to elementary school at what I think was the Fisher estate and am trying to dig up more information about it. Now it's called Cold Spring School. It used to be the old Park boys school. The fifth graders were housed in another building we always assumed was servants quarters. Then the "mansion" was kept separate, but they've renovated since I left. Anyone ever have any experiences there? Whenever we got to go on tours of the mansion, I always got creepy vibes, but nothing ever happened. That's probably because I was ten. We got to go on tours of the grounds too. There were giant Oriental pots filled with gross water. It just seemed sad.

AnonymousVisiter ** US	I went to Marian. I remember the Stokley incident with the police dog mentioned in a previous post. The intruder alarm was going off; the police came, searched the whole place with no results. When the dog reached the bottom of the stairs leading up to where the gentlemen killed himself, the dog laid down and refused to go up. Also. the choir used to say they saw things, like people crossing the room while they were having practice.

AnonymousVisiter ** US	I went to marian for a semester. my father's taught there for 25 years, and so has my mother for 14 i believe. As far as i know, nothing paranormal, and i'm the kind of person who gets into these sorts of things. however, as the stories never seem to match up with one another (p.s. the tea house wasn't even built until after my parents started working there, so certainly AFTER stokley died), i have to say that this one doesn't seem to hold too terribly much. in all my time there, i never heard anything about fisher hall, either, and i was an art major. in case anybody is confused, fisher is the fine arts building, so i find it difficult to believe that in all the alone time i spent in the studio i never experienced any kind of haunting, or feelings of discomfort.

AnonymousVisiter - -	I am not sure about the mansion, but in the theater down in the basemeant me and 3 other of my friends were down there and we were looking inside of a room from a window then someone started walking towards us. We thought it was someone who worked there so we turned around and started to talk to eachother when we turned around it was gone. When that happend we got really scared so we took of running. Also in the same building in the elevator there is a secret floor we tried to get into it by the elevator but it just got stuck
