Location Description:

Follow Skyline Trail until you reach the town offices. In back of the building is a small family plot. In the far left corner next to a large tree lays a single stone. On the stone reads "IT". There are no names, dates or other information on the stone. Across the street stands a large abandoned house, the presence of evil vibes are felt through out the entire area, as though you are being watched.

UPDATE: by mcksmom:
my grandfather (who has lived in middlefield all of his life) told me that as recent as twenty years ago, someone had carved "IT" into the headstone. its an old headstone but someone had carved that into it about twenty years ago. if you ask me, its been there for as long as i can remember. but i still wont go into that cemetary

mcksmom Last Seen: 6/17/2011 3:00:32 PM	ive been there, and it creeps me out. ive heard thru people that it was a baby, sex unknown that died at birth and since they didnt know what it was they put on the headstone "IT".

mcksmom Last Seen: 6/17/2011 3:00:32 PM	the house across the street from the mack cemetary, actually isnt haunted, i was just there today, and normally i get some kind of feeling that theres something around me, but today there was nothing there, the cemetary is in fact haunted by a MR. MACK, my ten year old cousin has seen him on her property, located next to the school yard.

AnonymousVisiter R US	i have lived in middlefield most of my life and actually used to live right next to the cemetery.. i have heard two different stories about this grave.. one from the historian of middlefield, and one from a tourist who just wanted to see the stone.. the tourist said it was a man who got sick and no one knew his name.. as for the actual historian.. well what she told me is so sick i couldnt repeat it, but you can ask her yourself the history mueseam in middlefield is in the same white biulding as the senior center, on the second floor, right next to park!

AnonymousVisiter M US	Stephen King released his novel IT (1986) around the time the IT was reportedly carved into the blank headstone. Judging from the tool marks IT was cut into the stone recently. That stated the grave yard does hold a powerful spirit presence.

AnonymousVisiter ** US	Im from huntington and ive heard that is was a woman married to the family that had slept with a slave and it was descoverd when the child was born they drowned the child in a bucket and buried her alive as punishment witch sounds right to me cuz for the most part still born children or infants used to have there initials cut on verey small headstones and this one is large so id say it is an adult that did something bad and its buried far away from everyone elese makes ya wonder
