Location Description:

this is located near the Felt Mansion it is a small building that is a behind the BMX track. It is all broken up and windows are busted due to kids. At night if you were to go and look around the house, curtains in the window move and windows open and close, and strange lights are often visible in them. If you were to go inside and walk around you can hear heavy breathing, loud footsteps, screams, and even able to see silhouettes of figures walking. Sometimes you can feel as though something walked threw you and sometimes you may encounter a sudden pain in the wrists of your hands over all the place has just a creepy feel. October 2004 update: This building is the last remaining building of Dunes Correctional Facility. Its the old Trustee Bldg. that housed 80 inmates. This place is now being vandalized horribly and the police ARE prosecuting! The Junction itself is a myth. Allegan County Historical Society has stated repeatedly that "The Junction" insane asylum has never existed.

windexba Last Seen: 8/16/2010 5:36:22 PM	I actually just learned the history of this place. It is behind the Felt Mansion, built in 1987. It was actually a low security prison for about five years, then was shut down. I do not know about the activity there, I will soon go at night. . . i do know that the park it is located in saugatuck and closes at ten... it is somewhat patrolled by police.

windexba Last Seen: 8/16/2010 5:36:22 PM	I found that the most activity is in the center of the building. There is next to nothing in the actual cells. There was a salt circle when I went there at night, i think there was a seance or something a few days ago. It is definitley worth checking out.

slapshotten11 Last Seen: 1/16/2008 8:05:59 PM	i went to The Dunes Penn. with windex, and i saw something creepy. We were on our way out, when i snapped a pic of the place. The 1st was too blury. In the second i caught a wierd light. Obviously a flash reflection. I took another....and another....and another. No reflection. Wierd. So later on i was analyzing the photo, and i zoomed WAY in on the light. Then slowly zoomed out. Then my eyes caught it. A hooded, shadowy figure. i almost had a stroke. you discide. the 1st pic is the "debunk" shot (no light). the 2nd is the actual shot. and the 3rd is the zoom on the actual shadow.

AnonymousVisiter ** US	i have been here and in the begining it was a cool place to check out there was only one window gone in the back and it was totally scary then all these little punks came and tore it up anyone who seen this place in the beginning would not think it was scary anymore the first time i went there i came up one set of steps and there was a man standing right in front of me only there was about 5 ppl with me and none of them seen him it took me about a year and a half to come up with the courage to go back and when i did it was vandalized all the windows were gone and there was people flowing in and out regularly the front door was open all the paperwork was all over locked doors had been broken in i think that it is rediculous ppl need to learn when you are given somthing cool like this to enjoy we should try not to mess it up be respectful i mean kids actually went in there and burned stuff like paperwork that came out of the offices i hope the cops catch the ppl who have vandalized the place i think they need to be bent over the mothers knee and spanked because that behavior is just plain childish~bridgette

wmghsfounder Last Seen: 8/3/2008 8:43:34 AM	This is NOT the Junction! This was the former 80-man trustee prison building from Dunes Correctional Facility. I did extensive research on this location for ghost tours of the Felt Mansion. Anyway...the building was torn down in October 2007.

AnonymousVisiter M US	This place is one of the coolest places I've been to. Yeah, there's glass and buliding remains left everywhere, but it's awesome to explore. When my friends and I went in when it was pitch black, we heard this crazy vibration like noise that made us leave immidiately. Did they seriously tear it down? I haven't been since August.

AnonymousVisiter	i heard that there was a site in the woods where the original junction that the allegan history people say was never really there, thats the one that they say once you find you can never find again and that its by the yellow motel where al capon stayed for a while, ive heard that it was shut down while people were still living in it and that "bad things" supposedly happen there. andyone know what im talking about??

AnonymousVisiter ** US	I grew up and the area and heard to stories. but never heard that one. Anyone else hear about tunnels in the dunes at the state and county park. i've been all over the woods and have yet to find them.
