Location Description:

I found this Cemetery in a book at Barnes and Noble of Haunted Places in Florida (will edit with book title later). The author spoke of hearing whispers in the many Mausoleums and having an eery feeling while in the cemetery and many cold spots.

I personally recently went to the cemetery with a few friends to take pictures and see if we could hear anything for ourselves. I do believe there is something going on there. I heard a deep, raspy breathing coming from inside Newman`s Mausoleum pictured below and also a man`s voice...saying no more than a word or two at a time in another location of the cemetery. I have a few pictures for everyone to look at and you can decide for yourself what you see.

shepacav Last Seen: 1/16/2008 8:05:12 PM	I visited this Cemetery last year and am planning a return trip this week. The main mausoleum is beautiful but very active. While sitting in one of the chairs I had my arm stroked and was contacted by the presence of a girl who died in an automobile accident at the age of 19. She was confused and wanted to know what had happened. I sent her into the light, as well as an older man and a very young boy, about three years of age who followed me through the mausoleum. The three-story mausoleum I visited at night was very active, also. I saw the ghost of a man pass right in front of me by the stairway and I heard footsteps on the road outside, but saw no one. The largest mausoleum flashed red lights at me at night when approaching the double doors and then later on I shown a flashlight into the door on the left and was answered by a bright light coming from the door on the right. It is locked at night. While walking through the smaller mausoleum in the daytime I heard voices whispering, but could not make out any distinct words. Both times while walking through this cemetary I felt an overwhelming sadness and at one point was almost reduced to tears the feeling was so strong. If you visit, please be very respectful of those who are buried there and offer prayers for those "still earth-bound" so that they will leave and go into the light. I will up-date later after my next visit.

AnonymousVisiter FLORIDA US	Really? I've never felt anything unusual in Myrtle Hill. Maybe it's because I was on the newer side near 56th Street.
