Description:
Colonel George W. Miller founded the 101 Ranch in northern Oklahoma in 1893 (1879). The 101 Ranch was a sprawling 110,000 acres of leased Indian lands that spread across four counties. Mr. Miller and his wife Molly, sons Joe, Zack and George Jr. along with daughter, Alma helped establish what became known as the "Largest Diversified Farm and Ranch in America." The Miller family were pioneers of movie making. Some of the first western movies were filmed on the 101 Ranch. The death of Joe Miller from carbon monoxide poisoning saw the decline of the ranch. After 43 years of operation the ranch had to be sold in 1936 due to the hardships faced during the Great Depression.

A video camera was once left in the basement, upon trying to film the rest of the location the camera would shut down.
