Location Description:

The owner`s friends are afraid to stay there over night. Footsteps are heard, whispers, screams, and an odd singing can be heard at night. Doors open and close on their own and lights turn on and off. Some people have reported dark figures standing over them when they wake up in the middle of the night. Most guests experience unusual nightmares, often involvong violent death and murder. It is believed that there are two or more entities in the house, one a loving caregiver, and one is a torchered soul who feeds on negative energy. The owner states that she is not afraid of the spirits, but she can feel the sorrow and pain the torchered spirit carries with him.

AnonymousVisiter ** -	I lived for a few months on West Balboa. The house was a nice three-bedroom, 2 bath built by John F. Long, I believe. Nice neighborhood, close to town and the university. Our problem was with the master bathroom. The furnace and hot water heater were in a clost in the bathroom, and I will swear up and down that there was a presence residing in there too! We had a fair-to-middling swamp cooler which kept the house comfortable, but that bathroom was freezing cold summer and winter. The kids refused to take baths in there, and I hated to go in to clean. My husband thought all of us were abslolute idiots, and made no secret of his contempt. Finally, one day he needed the bathroom badly, but felt he couldn't make it to the one in the master bedroom. When he came out, he was freezing (goosebumps, even), and swore someone was watching him from the bathtub. We moved from there early the following year, and went from the pan to the fire: Our new place was absolutely loaded with ghosts and other strange things!
