Location Description:

Located in an area of Beaufort called Frogmore, on the Lands End Peninsula an eerie light floats over Land`s End Rd. Some claim it is the ghost of a murdered Confederate soldier, searching for his head, others claim it`s the ghost of a slave, sold away from his family, who`s come back to hunt for them, though the tales predate the American Revolution. It is most usually reported between the Chapel of Ease (see Beufort) and the "Hanging Tree". The light has been the cause of at least one documented accident, and Paranormal author Nancy Roberts captured a picture of the light and published it in one of her many books about the ghosts of South Carolina.

AnonymousVisiter ** US	omg i just went last night, supposedly your supposed to pee on a gravestone at that ease chapel and bang on the church door 3 times, then you park under the hangman's tree and the light appearred right then!!! it got bigger and bigger! it was the brightest light i have ever seen then once i started screaming it literrally diappeared in to NOWHERE im going again tonight

Second, if someone told you you have to pee on a grave stone they should be slapped, that is simply stupid. And if you believed it, you have NO common sense. C'mon people. If I'm ever out there and see people peeing on the stones you better believe I'm writing down license plate numbers and calling the police. That is disrespectful. Furthermore, there is NO ritual involved in summoning the light. It either appears or it doesn't. I have to call b.s. on this persons claims.

AnonymousVisiter T US	hell yes... i was there back in 2006. me along with 4 of my friends did the whole park under the tree thing... well the light appeard 4 out of the 5 times we tried it that night. once the light was about 200 yds out and then went out and reappear in less then 2 seconds right in front of the truck... we havent been back since.

AnonymousVisiter ** US	I was born and raised in Beaufort,S.C. and I have seen the light many times.Some say its swamp gas and others really think its a ghost.I couldn't tell you what it is but there is something there.You just have to be there at the right time in the right frame of mind..

AnonymousVisiter ** US	I lived down off lands end road about 2 blocks from the spanish fort when i was 15 which was 7 years ago. I always heard about the stories but i was to scared to check it out. But honestly that whole lands end is scary. We used to have weird things to happen in our house. One evenin our friend was staying the nite and had made a place to sleep on the floor. We just so happened to be talking about ghosts and all of a sudden the glass part that goes around the lightbulb from the ceiling fan just fell really hard on the floor right where he wouldve been laying.We both jumped out of our seats. The back door opened by itsself a couple of times and one of those times i was home alone. You could hear footsteps in the house as well...me and my mother would be so scared that we would sleep in the same bed. I'm sooo glad i dont live there anymore.

AnonymousVisiter * US	Im thirty two years old and dont beleive in anything unless i see it .Its definitly real seen it three diffrent times one like it was a bright spotlight,another time two of them appeared one closer and brighter. the last time i seen it human figure with no head close up ,and no BS.wont say how we made it come out but it involved a grave,church,and a tree.
