Haunted Ponds
Barrel Springs Road and Pearblossom Hwy
Palmdale, ca 93550

County: Los Angeles County
GPS: 34.5378853, -118.0824842

This location is on the outskirts of Palmdale just as you come into town.  Not sure what it used to be, but back in the 50's KKK and then in the 60"s Mansons people were said to have hung out there.  KKK used to hang babies from the trees, charlies people did some rituals out there.   devil worshipers also have met up there.  It is said you could hear the chains swinging in the breeze.  One summer nite with a group of friends we made a bonfire and while ther was NO breeze the fire blew up large and swirled around so fast and far out we all sceamed and ducked out of the way.  Needless to say we put at the fire and made the trek back to the car.  The whole time you are there you can feel something watching you from the shrubs, said to be a little girl with white glowing eyes and herebabies cry in the distance

How do you get there? Dirt roads? How far in? Right or Left? Want to go but need better directions.

I have been there quite a few times and I have to tell you that the place is scary as hell. But now...And I don't know why they did this...They built a bunch of housing tracks on it. True story: The very las time I was out there, it was myself, my sister, her friend and my friend. We parked on the dirt road. The first thing that we noticed is images of people hanging from the tree in front of the foundation that the house use to be. Then we hung out for a while. We went back to my car, my car would not start. The cross that I had hanging on my rear view mirror broke in half. We left my car and picked it up the next day. Yeah...That place is scary as hell!

The KKK and Satanist were definently not there at the same time. They would kill each other if they were.

I grew up on 32nd and T-2 from 1987 - 1994.It was like 2 0r 3 dirt roads away from haunted ponds.I used to ride my horses up in there and it was real scary. It would get like frezzing cold all of a sudden in the middle of summer. My horse would get spooked.I would feel someone watching me.And one time in the foothills I found a stone table like a sacrafice table with dried blood and stuff.I tried to find it again but could not.I have allot more stories to tell.

I think we were in that area on 10/29/2010, my sister and myself. If this is the right place it is on T-8 and 35th street. Looked like there is a fence that goes all the way around it.How do you get in?

If people are going to post about places..unless you have proof..dont state it as fact.

I was there with my sister and cousin and my cousin saw the little girl. I went with my friends another time and he took me to an abandoned mental facility with no roof and that place was haunted as well. it's up on pearblossom but I don't know the directions.

I saw some random post where you were asking for directions to the Haunted Ponds in Palmdale, Ca. If you google Una Lake it will come up. Its off Sierra Hwy south on Ave S on east side. Una Lake is the technical name for this place. I also heard stories as a kid that semi trucks fell in there and were never found. If you drive out on the dirt roads around the pond ether are some really cool dust bowls in the middle of the desert. We used to have parties in the bigger of the bowls. :) Happy Hunting! Jenna

I grew up right down the street on T-8. I loved riding my horse down there. I never thought of it as scary. I was told all the stories of people being hung over the pond, the KKK and devil worshipers. For some reason I always found peace down there. I remember the sound of the whispering trees, the meadow on the west side of the pond and the cattails that grew there. One of my favorite places and fond childhood memories. -Shelly :)

i went there a few times years back..the story I was told was that a father went crazy and hung his family around the ponds-and years later, people were trying to open doors using a qui ji board and they didnt close them properly..my experience-definitely haunted..i was chased off once by something i couldnt see..i felt like something didnt want me there..and the next thing i knew,i was running as fast as i could to get to the car!! as i was running,i heard the crunching of something running beside me,but a few feet in front of me..and it wanted me gone, that much i knew, and all the noises stopped when i got to the car..i went there on Halloween too after that happened-but i had no sensations of rage..it was actually peaceful..ive walked around to ponds and u can feel the cold spots..im very glad i found this website cause i dont remember how u get there, since someone else always drove, and its been 12yrs. ive always wanted to take my husband

I went up to the Haunted Ponds around April 2011. I brought a tape recorder with me, sat on the cement foundation and listened, couldn't hear anything except for the wind but when I got home I heard a voice on the tape that said "Sandy" maybe she the the wife that was murdered by her husband back in the 40's.

My cousins and I went to the haunted ponds like two weeks ago we entered throught the hole in the fence next to some random boat, as we started walking east I felt as if someone had been watching us from behind, one of my cousins was voice recording the whole time. As we came across the stone bridge we felt sensations of hot and cold temperatures (no breeze). not long after that we were chased off by a guy in a truck, but once we got in the car and listened to the tape we heard a girl breathing deeply saying "ahhhh shiiiiiiittttt...."...TRUE

I rode my mountain bike there a few times, there is an opening in the fence right next to an abandoned small boat. i rode all the way to the back of the property, took the trail straight ahead as you enter through the fence. It  was during the afternoon i got to the end of the trail and sat down to  spark up a bowl , it was quiet and relaxing , did not see or hear anything on all occasions.  looks to have been some kinda ranch of some sorts, the ponds water looked to be fed in from the aqueduct above near barrel springs, you can see the small water channels made  to run the water into the property. there was a rope hanging from a tree near the biggest pond. i saw the cement foundation which belonged to some building  and twin pillars right before the foundation. There's a few houses  nearby  the property where people live so i'm thinking that's where the noises people heard came from. I really would like to find out the true history behind the property.

By the way , Una Lake is the small lake right next to Sierra HWY between            pear blossom and ave S

I use to live down the street from this place, my Mom still lives there. I would ride my horse through the area just about everyday. I have been told the "stories" about the KKK hanging people and babes from the tree that is close to the pond. There is still a rope hanging on that tree. I still walk to the ponds when I visit my Mom. I never felt like it was haunted, still don't. I think it's a beautiful there.

Just checked out the "haunted ponds" last night which was Halloween, I can say it was creepy approaching the ponds only cause what everyones been posting about it.. but once we got in and walked around it really wasn't anything out of the normal... It was night time as well and none of us felt spooked or heard anything weird... if your trying to find ghosts or hear voices don't be pissed if you don't cause I just warned you nothing will happen!
