OK, with a friend we've set out to debunk the really, really stupid "ghost" stories in the IE- there are haunted places and this certainly isn't one of them.
Heres the myth- that between 3am and 345am,the apparition of a dead dog covered in blood will appear in the men's restroom "closest to the ampitheater", and you will also hear a child scraping their knees and laughing.
Here's the reality- there are 3 bathrooms to the park. 2 of them are locked after sundown, and thus IMPOSSIBLE to get inside without a key to be there at night. Still, we visited them as well just to listen for the scrapes and laughter. NOTHING. Secondly, there isn't really even an ampitheater per se, just an open area near the pond. All three bathrooms had no results. The sounds of scraping PROBABLY comes from the large locusts that are attracted to the lights- fall down and drag themselves across the ground, with the acoustics of the bathroom amplifying their sounds. Anyway, TOTAL waste of time.
