Schenck Mansion is a 35 room mansion built in 1874 by Benjamin Franklin Schenck who was son of a wealthy "hay king" of the steamboat era.  It is reported that prior to the mansion's existance, a smaller home sat on the site around time of the Civil war.  A woman had an affair with a confederate defector and both were burned alive in the home.  There are now reports of a woman in period clothing who wakes guests at night faning them.  The former owner is also said to haunt the home.
