Back in the early 1920-30's there was a hospital built just to house children with Polio they were sent from all over the country to live out the rest of their lives. This place was ran by Nuns which had an ajointing residence next door. Really a quite beautiful place for the Nuns.

The hospital I didn't see when first built but was abanded after the children mostly died, I have no idea where their bodies were burried some say some were burried on site due to improper disposal, then the main hospital had an enfirmary which the children would be burnt-cremated & ashes if wanted would be sent to parents which sent them there knowing they wouldn't see them again alive. Many of these children are said to still roam the playgroung which last time I was there is still there.

The main hospital has been distroyed but the home for the Nuns has been turned into a private residence. Man I'll bet that place is really haunted & scary. The Nuns were on call 24 a day when needed. I am not sure exactly when the hospital closed but stood for many many years before being torn down. I wish I knew how many tiny souls lived & died there it was said to of been terrably overcrouded.

So sad it sat so long sitting abanded. Probably full of asbestas & city officials didn't know what to do with it. Same with the Old Hospital which still stands today.
