Location Description:
There's a building that sits in downtown Tucson that used to be the site of the original paupers hospital in the early 1900's. The building is now a dental office..But back in the day.. The building used to be known as the Pima County Hospital. The hospital serviced all low or no-income patients in the Tucson community. Many people walked thru it's coridors...and I can assume that many perished at the facility...Especially around 1918...Tucson has it's worst reported outbreak of influenza. Without proper medication...Many never walked out. About 6-months ago.. I had a pretty bad experience while visiting the building. My sister had a routinue dental cleaning at the office one afternoon...I went with her because I was her taxi for the day. I didn't know it then...But I quickly found out that there was something seriously wrong with the building the minute I stepped into it. The building has three floors.. The top floor is the dental office...The middle floor..the main lobby..There are other occupants leasing the building out as well..And..The basement...Now used as the cafeteria...But back when the hospital was in existence...The bottom floor was considered the cooler...or in lamens terms...The Morgue. The minute I breezed through the lobby doors... I felt like my legs were sitting in cement. My sister asked me if I was ok. See said I looked abit pale. My head started spinning as we headed for the elevators to go up to the third floor. I noticed off to the right of me, a set of stairs that went down to the basement. I at this point had no clue of the buildings history. Once in the elevators..I felt nauseous. As we exited onto the third floor and into the recieption area of the dental office.. I stumbled and fell onto the tile floor. The recieptionist and my sister help me to my feet. I proceeded to tell the recieptionist that something was wrong with this building...I felt sick..My legs felt like they were rotting in sand..and my head was all fuzzy. The recieptionist proceeded to say .."Oh? You guys didn't know tthat the building was haunted?" I then came to find out more about the history of the building and upon asking about "what was the flight of stairs to the basement leading to?... The recieptionist blurts out that it used to be the county morgue and alot of people died there. I couldn't get out of that building fast enough! The moment I walked out the front door...My head cleared and my nausea subsided. The recieptionist also added that no one stays there at night... See says that they hear too many voices.. Everything gets moved around the office at night and by morning, no one can what they were looking for. If you get the chance...Check it out. And when you walk down the flight of steps to the cafteteria for a cup of joe...Just remember... Many others who came before you were down there...just chillin.
