Location Description:
Not sure if officially "haunted" but definitely cursed. I lived on Holden Circle for several years and here is what I know. The house at the end of the cul de sac had a young woman die for no apparent reason out of the blue. Another house in the neighborhood had a young man die in a car accident. Another house had a man die from lung cancer. Another house had a 2 year old drown in the backyard pool. Another house had a 4 year old with an ear infection that eventually turned him into "a vegetable" who later died. One strange thing that happened in my old house at 40187 is something we still don't officially know. My brother was laying in his bed when he looked at his door and saw a little girl staring at him with an angry look on her face. He saw this girl about 3 times. One night I was asleep in my room downstairs when I felt like I was being watched. I went upstairs like a chicken and slept on the floor in my dad's room. In the middle of the night I woke up to my dad jumping out of bed and my brother running to the bedroom door. My brother said," Did you hear that?!" and my dad said,"Oh yeah!" they both heard somebody pound down the stairs so they ran down the stairs with bats only to discover nothing. Doors and windows all closed and locked. Another night I had a brother come into my dad's room in the middle of the night and he was completely frozen still. My dad kept saying,"What happened? What's wrong?" My brother would not move or talk so my dad was about to take him to the hospital when my brother just decided to lay on the floor and fall asleep. To this day (15 years later), if you ask him about that night he gets angry and says,"I don't want to talk about it." He won't tell anybody what he saw. Two houses away, my (then boyfriend) had a cold spot in his room. If you stood in that particular spot, you would feel like you were being pulled away. One night he went upstairs to ask his mom a question when he looked down the hall and saw his grandmother sleeping (she lived with them) but then saw a man he believes was his deceased grandfather lay down in bed next to her. Many people on that street have stories like that but many of us have moved away. I know my ex's mom has many stories and theories about that neighborhood. I sometimes wonder if the new residences have these experiences though. One day we went by the old house just to see how it had changed and we saw that a child on a bike had been hit by a car right on the corner by my old house. He was ok but still too many crazy things going on.
