Location Description:

There are several building on the old Naval Base that are reported to be haunted. One is the old infirmary, which was built in the 1930's. When the base was still operated by the Navy, Security Police Officers would check the building at night and reported seeing a little girl dressed in old style clothing inside staring at them.

AnonymousVisiter	I lived in "Old Moffett," when I was a kid until I was around 10, then moved to "New Moffet." This was the military housing outside the base and, I believe, Old Moffet was right next the the old dispensery. I remember having a VERY vivid dream about an Indian tribe sitting on the steps to a neighbors house. Supposedly it was an acient indian burial ground. One time my sister got up in the middle of the night and saw an old indian man in the bathroom mirror. Also, we lived in a town house and me and my sister got locked in the bathroom for like half an hour. My dad could NOT get us out, then the door just "unlocked." I also remember my mom talking about a corner cabinet that they had bought and that it started to make noise and had blue crackly light coming out of it one night so they got rid of it. Once, we heard crackling coming from the kitchen and a big blue ball (or something) came out of the kitchen, turned the corner and went out the living room window. My dad said it was "ball lightening." Also, once my sister was walking past a little building and heard a woman crying in it, but no one was there. I also remember an old mansion where an old man lived on a lot of land where people made a community garden right in the middle of Old Moffet (like maybe he refused to sell to the military or something). There was a horse named Ginger. After many years, the old man died and the mansion was in ruins, and got bulldozed after awhile. We all thought it was haunted there, but I don't know if it really was or if we just liked to make up stories. I'm sure there's lots more, but that was a loooong time ago...
