The building originally was used by the Juv. Crt., a worker was beaten, & hung in the west room of the bsment, by some of the inmates (teen girls). (??..There are no rafters or pipes). The bldg was later turned over to the Childrens Home (that`s where I lived). Since then (early 1980`s) it has been used by the Summit County Jail as a Women`s Jail/Rehab. unit.

I am currently staying there. The girls did not hang her, they held a rag soaked with amonia over her mouth and dug into her throat with their nails. It also happened on the second floor in the hallway, back in Nov. 1955.
