There Are A Few Cemteries Out There. There Is One About A Half Mile From The Entrance To The State Game Lands On Your Left Hand Side As You Drive Through. At The End Of The Road Is Another One That Still Has The Foundation To The Church That Use To Be There. Also One Of The Bunkers Is Now Open I Was In Recently And Was very Impressed By The Presence Felt Inside. A Quote From The First Comment "My wife will not go at night she was there once and said to see a Creatue that stared in at her with its red eyes" 1. I Belive Her, We Were Out There One Night And A Few Of My Friends And I Heard Growling Coming From The Church And Thought Nothing Of It, Then We Heard It Again And This Time Is Seemed Louder But Still Thought Nothing Of It, The Third Time It Sounded Like It Was Right Behind Or Beside Us, This Time We Left, As We Were Driving Out The Back Hatch To My Friends Jeep Popped Open (All Doors Were Locked). 2.One Of The First Times I Was Out There We Went To The Last Cemetery And Was Confronted By A Man With The Head Of A Demon Staring At Us From The Other Side Of The Cemetery. On Our Way Out From The Last Cemetery We Saw Headlights Appear Out Of No Where (NOTE: Last Cemetrey Is At A Dead End). 3. People Have Been Known To Hold Satanic Rituals Out There. Rumor Has It That Every Full Moon A Group Of People Go Out And Sacrifice The First Thing They See. I Have Been Out There On A Full Moon And The Only Thing We Saw While Sitting In The Car Wating For The Rest Of Or Ghosthunter Friends Was Peopele In Black Robes Surround The Car And That Is When We Left. Later That Night We Went Back Out After Calling The Cops And The Cops Going Out And Stopping This Sacrafice Ritual We Had To Give A Statement. Since Then All Has Been Peaceful For The Spirits That Haunt The State Game Lands Out There

i have only been out there once. i went with a couple friends to walk the trails around the bunkers. when we were finished walking we went into the cemetary at the end(didnt see the other one) of the road.the foundation is still there and it is very creepy so see all the gravestones. they do date back to the early 1800's. i was there during the day i did not see anything. the feeling you get though is a little overwhelming and my boyfriend that came with s did want to leave right away ,once we started investigating the cemetary.he had strange feelings that he couldnt exlpain. the area used to be a small town with i think three churches some houses and i think two cemetaries. it was said that the govermwnt took over this town during world war I to put the bunkers in for a place to store ammunition. they were to give the town back to the towns people when the war was over but that never happened. there are a bunch of the bunkers there that are open. all i can say is try it at night...i have not done this yet.

VIsit www.hoppsghosthunters.com for a map of where the bunkers are located. These maps can be printed and show the old roads and bunker locations. This is not to say the roads and bunkers are all accessable, but it sure helps you find them if you decide to go there.

I'm a person who believes everyone is entitled to their own opinion. That being said, because you've lived there all your life and never experienced anything "paranormal", does'nt for a moment mean nothing "paranormal" exists in the allenwood cemetary area. Think about this for a moment, If you were to ask 100 New Yorkers if they've ever seen a pigeon, you would undoubtedly get a 100 definitive "yes" answers. Now ask the same 100 people New Yorkers if they've ever seen a baby pigeon.... Highly unlikely but obviously they exist even if not seen. What I'm trying to say with this analogy is try looking at and thinking about not just the paranormal but all things from differant views other than tunnelvision or under the presumption that "YOU KNOW". Fact is none of us "KNOW" anything, so let yourself free to wonder once in awhile. I think you'll appreciate the new views.

I agree with the guy above me. I haven't been here yet, and I plan to do some photography and a write-up on the place. I think people just like to sensationalize an abandoned area to get themselves pumped up about going there and telling a story about it.

I live in the area and go up there every now and then, though the feeling you get can be creepy it's pretty much mind games. I haven't heard or seen anything paranormal while out there.

I was up there on Sat. with my fiance, brother and his girlfriend. We were just out for a good night of spotting deer and we decided to go back into the game lands. We got to where the first cemetary and there we a line of cars and just weird peopel standing in the middle of the cemetary. My brother spotted them to see if we could see what they were doing.. Needless to say it was about 9:30 at night I just thought it was very weird. We got down past that cemetary and we pulled over to talk about it because we were in seperate vechiles. Next thing you  know one of the vechiles that was sitting there came strat for us we booked it outa there.... It was just very weird....

The whole idea of people getting freaked out when your out there is just mind games there are no ghosts. The so called devil worshipers are just college and high school kids drinking. They want to scare you off because its there little drinking party. They have people take turns sitting back in the woods with a walkie talkie so if they see anyone come down they let the people know, then everybody there throws on there Halloween cloaks and stands around a fire chanting a bunch of bull. When the people see you they go to chase you so you get scared and leave, dead animals hanging from trees or in the bunkers are just road kill they find. Trust me my brother and i with a couple of friends went out they they all swarmed our car at the dead end. we got out pissed because we wanted to leave and my friends in the other car got out and we told them we were going to beat there asses. So there little ring leader got out and told us to calm down and how everything is a joke. they even invited us to go drink with them but we didnt want to hang out with those drunks.

I went to Montgomery School District through from late elementary through high school. I partied with the Elimsport kids in high school because our their elementary school goes to our in middle school and not once have I heard that people would go out there to party and dress in robes to scare people off. I'm not throwing your story out, it is just that the school district is small and something like that gets around. Most people are scared of that place. I fish there at night at the pond visible from the road and I have had some experiences. For example me and my freind were driving back one night and we saw vehicle lights coming towards us. The lights looked like they were under water and then they suddenly turned off. So we figured it was the game commision just on patrol and we were going to get pulled over. Well we got to about where we estimated the lights turned off and there was no trace, no dust from a moving vehicle, no place for it to pull in to hide, no nothing it just dissapeared. And another instance is a group of us took photos at night of the cemeteries and orbs just appeared everywhere. I can also see how parents would tell there kids not to go here when its dark to keep them out of trouble just like your run of the mill boogie man story, but take it from someone who has been there at the most 100 times, this place does have something funky going. I wouldn't have even searched for this topic if I didn't think something paranormal is going on back there.

I also am from the area and like to hike and take photos around the state game lands frequently.  In the warm months I go out there weekly. I have never felt anything but calm and peaceful out there.  I have come across the ramon couple parking on a friday morning (must have been hiding from someone, lol).  I have never had anything odd come out in any photos, but have not been out in the gamelands past dusk.  I do remember when I was a teenager, in the early 90's my boyfriend, I and another couple drove out late at night spotlighting and to check out the bunkers, and we where scared off by a growling and red eyes down near the dead end cemetary.  I don't know if it was just the kid thing and more scaring ourselves or if we really saw it.  As I can remember we ran to the truck pretty fast and we're pretty freaked out.

I grew up in Montgomery only a few miles away in the 1940's and 50's,  When in high school 1950 -55 we used to sneak through the fence and hunt deer and get chased by the army guards that were still there.  What fun hiding in culverts and trees trying to outsmart the men in the jeeps.
But best of all it was a great place to "park" with your girl even in the day time, because there were so many places to hide once you knew your way around.  Never saw or felt anything strange, but then I always liked visiting cemeteries and they do have a certain feel about them.
Occasionally we could hear explosions out there which the folks in town said they were blowing up the bunkers were the explosives were stored.
