The Purple Light bridge is off Bossler Road halfway up the hill from the industrial park and the bed & breakfast. The RR bridge is only accessible if you walk down the tracks (you'd have to trespa ss to get to it). I was there when I was a kid, didn't see the purple light though -- just the flashing red light on a caboose slowly moving down the tracks.

I was at the purple light bridge last summer with some friends at about midnight or shortly thereafter. As we were getting ready to start down the street to go under the railroad bridge we felt someone "shove" my car and on both sides of the road we saw shots of purple streaks. When we approached the railroad bridge we heard a train but didn't see one, then heard a loud "crack" and a scream. Let's just say we high tailed it out of there real quickly (only to get lost coming out of the area! lol)

i grew up in the area of the purple light bridge, and was always told about it by my older aunts & uncles, to get a rise out of me. so of course i had to go looking for it when i was old enough!! i never saw anything, but the area is solemn, and it's like there's no life there, birds or rodents or anything. i've never gone back to look again, though sometimes think about it when i go out that way to visit family.

This sure does sound like the same story as Devils bridge in Middletown. I have been trying to find articles on anybody killed on either set of tracks and of course there aren't any documentations to back these stories up. Show me news articles on either event and maybe then I will check out the validity of the "hauntings" You can't go to a place with false stories in your head. You will only psych yourself out and you make yourself beleive things are happening when they really aren't. Get the facts then go.

I used to drive over those train tracks every single day. My friends and I went there one night and we made it about half way down the tracks ended up running back to our cars. We heard a train coming when there clearly wasn't one, and there was a hovering, fuzzy purple light about midway down the tracks. We went back a second time but none of us had the courage to even get out of the car. It was very creepy, I definitely did not have a good feeling that night.
