Location Description:

It is an old hotel that is currently out of business. It has at least nine spirits currently residing there. As far as we know there is a small child, three grown males and five grown females. They usually do not cause problems unless they are provoked. It is also believed that there is an old Native American burial ground on the property.

AnonymousVisiter ** -	woah i'm so sad to hear it's gone....back in '89 I was attending Pocono Mt High School, and some of us were in ouija board stage. Anyway we use to sneak in there at night and 'play' w/a ouija board. One time we were in the basement. This one kid kept ragging on the house, saying he was bored, what we were doing was stupid. Some of us said hey cut it out, we're not here to diss the house...... Well we were all going back upstairs, he stepped on a flight board that went out. He fell through and it took us awhile to get him upstairs (he wasn't hurt, just stuck). When we all got outside, we discovered he had this muck on his jeans up to his knees, and it stunk!!! We all laughed it off, well, not him. I think he was spooked the whole time and didn't want to admit it. I always enjoyed being there...although we were trespassing. The rest of u never damaged the place and i felt enchanted by it. Sad to know it's gone, place holds good mems for me.

AnonymousVisiter NEW JERSEY US	I as a boy spent many family vacations there. Not only with my family but uncles and aunts. I have nothing but fond memories and fun stories. My family still talks about. I would say we spent as much as 15 straight summers going there. Boating in the lake that was once the pool and then the new pool. The old fashion dinning room. I can still remember the main front desk. It was great.

AnonymousVisiter - US	Hi everybody or anybody, I am now 50 years old, although back about 15 years ago, a lot of people who lived in the area like Bartonsville, Tannersville, and Swiftwater which are just minutes away always wanted to go at night to the Henryville House because they said it was haunted and there are ghosts still inside. I did go with two younger guys who were in their early twenties. I was about 35 and we went at night. We entered into the building with flashlights and you could see the ball room. We thought we were supposed to hear noises of the people talking while dancing to the music. That didn't happen. A lady who worked there supposedly hung herself in one of the rooms upstairs. We went up to that room, opened the door, and the door supposedly closed by itself behind us. That scared the two young guys. I figured they had done it on purpose to scare me. I wasn't scared and left the room to start going back down the stairs. When I heard somebody saying in a faint voice, "Here I'm here"..Over here, I'm here". I looked to the right and saw what appeared to be an image of a woman on her knees in a faint white colored dress or almost a hologram, kind of a blurry image of her. I did not have a flashlight and hurried down the stairs to catch up with the younger guys and we left the premises. I still today remember very well what I saw and heard. I really think that was an apparition or ghost like entity. I do believe there are spirits still in that resort. Also someone supposedly drowned in the swimming pool that used to be behind the main building. Just letting you people know what happened to me. It was interesting.

AnonymousVisiter - US	Just another thought; where do those poor or tormented spirits go when they remove or demolish a place like the Henryville House? Do they go to a final destination, or linger in that area?
