Description:
This isn`t so much a report of a haunting as it is the clearing up of a false report. The report of the Steel Phantom ghost is completely inaccurate and just not possible as the Steel Phantom was built in the early 1990`s, whereas Kennywood was built in 1898. This makes the stories time line false. I have personally never seen a news story involving any death with the building of the Steel Phantom.

no one has died on the steel phantom but several deaths have occured at the park over the years. a few years ago a woman was killed on the whip when a freak storm tore the roof off of the ride. before that someone drown on the raging rapids.

Kennywood park is not haunted. I know of only 2 deaths at the park.  One was on the pippin roller coaster (what either used to be the Racer or the Thunderbolt.) he disobeyed the rules and stood up at the top of the ride and fell to his death. The other death was, as stated in a previous post, from the freak accident on the whip. There is no such thing as the phantom ghost lol

I heard about the boy on the thunderbolt, i also heard about the roof collaspe on the whip. I agree that there is no ghosts at kennywood, there is no need to create stories that could scare young children. The park is meant for family fun, so enjoy it.
