My former husband and I purchased this house back in the early 1970's...and lived there with our two children, renting out the second-floor apartment to my cousin's boyfriend and his best friend. The house always had an eerie feel to it...I'm sensitive to certain energies...but this place was putting out some really bad vibes. I had seen dark shadows, in the partly finished basement there was constant coldness and bad feelings throughout...the basement door would not stay closed and even when locked would somehow come open. I went out to Seven Gables rd. when I was 11 with my aunt and some friends of hers! We got past the gate maybe 75 to 100 ft. and there was a red light in front of my face and nothing holding it up! Also I could hear mumbling but don't kno where it came from! I got scared and they took me back to the car! A couple others went on and they saw a lady in a white dress with what looked like blood on it,and she told them to go back and leave! They went on and found nothing then they started hearing mumbling so they went back to the car! There was a truck parked next to us it looked abandond and there was a guy that was very pale and he got in the truck and started driving down the rd. as we watched it kind of just dissapeared into the air!!! Abandoned canal town that was once very prosperous now sits completely abandoned. Many homes are historic and now deteriorating amongst the elements around them. Including two large cooling towers of the Limerick power plant. When the power plant moved into the backyard the town was left abandoned as all family's moved out.

Mendez was reportedly heading back to his home and family in Tecate, Mexico at the time of his apprehension and lynching. My team and I have captured various EVP recordings from beyond the grave. From " Get out!" to " what are you talking about?" - the cemetery is indeed very haunted.

Audible voices are also in abundance on quiet nights. " Help me" and " It burns, it burns " have been heard by myself and others.

This cemetery is not far from bellaire theatre. The area and houses surrounding the cemetery are rough from time to time. Suicides, gang related tagging and crime, and various other blights. Something stirs in Arwine Cemetery and it seems to be asking for help. I hope someone out there with more knowledge than me can help give rest to these restless souls.

When I was in Jr. High, we used to go to a place called the tunnels. There is a space that is in between houses that leads to a deep staircase. Well guess where I had to go and when?
I took my cousin and at the stroke of midnight we took this photo then promptly did the Charlton Rag dance on top of the stone. We were only "Troubled" on the way out after spotting some prostitutes nearby trying to flag down cars, we laughed and said "I wonder witch one is Mary..." "I bet for 20 bucks, they'll be anyone we want them to be."

It is a pretty cemetery, and if you like taking photos of such odd places, it's fun.
But don't go in the snow, at midnight and expect to see anything but frozen fingers as you try to take pictures.

There is also an antiques store just up the street with a very large painting of the hotel on the exterior wall. I have has somewhat of a residual type experience there. The hotel opened in the late 1930's and after numerous exterior and name changes closed in the early 1990's. Unfortunately the hotel burned to the ground on Oct. 26th, 2001. It's been 7 years since I've been there last but I believe it's off of 42nd (could be 46th) St driving from Ceder Rd towards Rosemont and past downtown Rosemount area. I believe it's the remains of some ammunition manufacturing plant. No building remains, but tons of brick structures, siloes, man holes, pillars, ect. all located in a giant overgrown field. Cool place to go exploring. I've taken home lots of weird hardware from that place. Be warned-the U of M people will give you a chase if they see you. There is a wooded are behind St.Patrick's Cemetery in Wadsworth, IL. The cemetery is located on N Mill Creek Rd. The cemetery itself is very active but the real legend comes from what lies deep within the woods.

If you walk down the road to the left of the cemetery you will see a broken red pole with a path behind it. If you proceed to walk deep into these woods you will begin to see strange things. There are cars scattered throughout the forest. How these got there I will never know. There are trees all around them and the path in which you enter if far too small for a car to fit in. You will also find an abandoned camper and the remains to a house.

Behind the remains of the house there is an old dried up pool. This pool has been used by the occult to sacrifice animals and possibly even humans for a long long time. Riverside Drive is a pretty long, one way windy road similar to Constitution Drive in Allentown except this road has no known ghost story attached to it. I saw a freight train running on the tracks about 2 years ago so they are not defunct as far as i know. Since it is 1 way, you need to approach it from the Hellertown end. Toward the middle of the road is a fairly large auto salvage yard.

Continuing down the drive, you will come to a split where Riverside Drive turns into Reddington Rd E and the other road is Quarry Lane. Two old, abandoned and boarded up wood homes overlooking a lake. When I was in high school me and 3 friends broke in (it is owned by the township) during the day. We called it the Nazi House because on the front door step there is a tile inlay of a swastika in red white and blue. Inside it was a mess of turned over appliances, thick binders with papers in them, bullet shells, and garbage. All the windows are boarded up and it is dark inside. There are bullet holes in the walls. The basement is the creepiest part. It is dark, and the stairs have no backs to them and you can almost feel the hands wrapping around your ankles as you walk down. In the wall there is a large, hand dug hole about 3 feet in diameter that seemingly leads to the other abandoned and boarded up building approximately 20 feet away. Never looked down it and never ventured through it.

But many residents claim that at night, there are aircraft or flying lights which are not easily explained, even by longtime Air Force veterans. Many people suggest that the sightings may be new experimental aircraft or UAVs. Some others contend, however, that there is more to the sightings than what can be explained by current technology. I'm a bit of a skeptic, but I will say there are a lot of unusual aircraft in the airspace above Tehachapi. I'll leave to all of you to decide whether there is something stranger afoot.

There are two sides to the cemetary, the St. Catherine's and the Pioneer side. Its located on a steep hill and you can see the graves have slid and moved at the ground pushes them out. Both of them are locked but you can get the key from city hall. Id rather just explore on my own. You can get into the ST. Catherine's side at the top of the hill if you enter from Rankin park. It has very strange feelings and lots of cold spots. It looks like some so sort of worship goes on up there, with a baby deer in a garbage bag was on a grave site with weird stick formations. The HUGE old oak trees roam the property. The Pioneer side has an awsome view of the water and some of the mosilums have been broken into. At by far the creepest of the two is the St. Catherins side.

   In the summer of 2003, I had the chance to visit Dixmont before its unfortunate demolition in 2005. Late at night in July of 2003, my brother, a few friends and myself drove onto an old dirt road that ran behind the Asylum, we parked our car in a nicely shadowed area and proceeded to the building.

   At this time there was no security watching the property so we were able to pry open one of the windows in the rear of the building. I entered first, into what seemed to be a patients room there was a rusted bed frame situated in the center of the room. As we all made our way to the main hall we kept thinking that we were hearing things but what we heard was the sound of old animal bones breaking beneath our feet as we stepped.

There are probably 20-30 graves or so, several of them children, dating around the late 1800's, early 1900's. There's a HUGE stone cross in the middle of the cemetery and the graves sort of surround it. Went there a few times with a friend years ago. Tried to get some EVP but came back empty handed. My gaussmeter very briefly spiked when I held it over one of the graves, but that was about it. If anyone goes there, please be respectful.     This place has many local urban legends surrounding it. I don't know which, if any, have any merit to them, but I have visited the place several times and figure it's at least worth mention. First, the place itself, is usually referred to as the "Chinese Gardens" by my parent's generation. I think I saw some old maps before referring to it at the Oriental Gardens or something like that as well. 30+ years ago, some old man kept a fancy park/flower garden area there. After he died, nature sort of took over, now it's mostly weeds, grass, and some trees. It's still a fairly serene little patch of nature with some nice stone benches and steps here and there. This is a beautiful two story house but very haunted. As soon as we moved in we noticed there was a ghost of a man digging near the stairs. This is Hartford's (And one of Connecticut's) oldest cemetery's. Buried within is Hartford's founding father Tomas Hooker along with his wife and some of his family. This cemetery is set right in the center of the oldest part of Harford in the middle of the downtown area, not too far from the Old State House. It used to be alot bigger that what you see today, housing over 1000 people. But over the years, commercial skyscrapers and city roads have taken over parts of the old cemetery, (So yes, they were built right over the graves) Some would say this whole section of hartford is haunted. When going to this cemetery you cannot help but get overwhelmed with creepy feelings. People have entered and had flashbacks to old victorian hartford. Old Roswell Cemetery was originally the burial ground for the Mount Carmel Methodist Church, established in 1846. The church was a wooden structure and when it was expanded and moved, the burial ground opened to the public. It is still an active cemetery to this day. The church itself was situated on the highest point in the cemetery. In 1975, the name of the cemetery was changed to its current name. The earliest marked graves date to the 1840's.

There were a total of 7 pictures with orbs in them. The one had a figure of a guy in it. My friend is psychic and has feelings when bad things are about to happen. I don't know who lived there first but I do know that Effingham Moris lived there, the founder of Morrisville. Now I was drawn there because all of my friends said that a little girl could be seen from the second floor window. I went there 4 times and saw nothing, I did not believe them. And here is the creepy part, I went 4 times set in my mind that I was going to see something, and didn't. And the one time I went knowing I wouldn't see anything I saw them. It's true if you challenge the ghosts they will challenge you back, I went there questioning their exsistance and they showed me. Yes I said they, I saw a pasty transparent image of a little girl in the second floor window, she was dressed in like victorian era attire and had her hair pulled back, I looked at her for like 5 seconds then she walked to her left... The Eliza Furnace, also known as Ritter's Furnace, operated between 1846 and 1849. It is one of the best-preserved hot blast iron furnaces in Pennsylvania, one of the first in the area, and is on the National Register of Historic Places. At its peak the furnace produced about 1080 tons of iron, employed over 90 men and boys, and used 45 mules.

During the 1830s and 1840s, partners David Ritter and George Rodgers acquired several thousand acres in the Blacklick Valley and began construction of the furnace in 1845. Before completion, Rodgers sold his share to Lot Irvin, a farmer from Centre County. The furnace was one of the region's first to use the hot blast method. After the iron was produced at Eliza, it was carried by wagon to Ninevah or Johnstown, where it was transported by the Pennsylvania Canal to Pittsburgh. In 1848 the furnace produced over 1000 out of an estimated capacity of 1800 tons of iron. But the operation soon began to decline.

It came right at us and disappeared. It was definitely not another human doing so because the light was too bright, and it is in a secluded rural area far from where humans could even be. Plus when we saw the light it floated on air, and did not shine on surfaces like a flashlight or such would. It was literally a wispy ball of light.

I grew up in Shawano Wisconsin. My dad and step mom bought this corner lot on the edge os a marsh area. When we first visited the lot to start planing the buid for the house, there was nothing but an old yellow shed. A couple years ago, my friends grandpa told us a story about a train running off the tracks. Story: A long time ago (not sure of the year) there was a steam locamotive haling a load of mules through Frazee Minnasota when it jumped the tracks along Acorn Lake and flew into the water were it sunk with its cargo load of mules never to be recoverd due to the deep water and the large amount of muck and sediment at the bottom of the lake.

Im not sure if the enginer servived or not. My friends and I were planing on taking the boat out to Acorn with the depth finder and underwater fish camera to see if we could find the wreck but plans fell through.

This is all I know about this story. Heck! It could all just be made up, I dont Know. If you have any information or have even heard of this legend, please post, mabe we can plan an expadition or something who knows.

I have seen it cross from one side of the Railroad tracks to the other, change colors, look like a big ball of fire and quickly dim to a small glow, lope down the tracks towards us, retreat in an opposite direction. The one I will always remember most though, is the first time 5 of us all saw it at the same time and it was cutting up. In the fall of 1973, I was traveling down Hwy 99 W. towards Eagleville from Murfreesboro, TN. I was about a mile from the Stones River bridge, when I noticed a large, saucer type U.F.O with 3 portholes visible on the side I was looking at. It was moving very slowly above the power lines and traveling in the same straight line that I was, west. It was traveling inside a "greenish cloud" that pulsated like a heart beat. It stayed beside my vehicle for about 3 miles and then at Brown's curve, turned up on the side and within a blink of an eye, it was gone! Canton police said a group of teenagers caused more than $100,000 worth of damage to 122-year-old Cherokee County church.

Later on in the year, we found out through actually seeing, hearing, and feeling: that we had about 5 ghosts in all. There was one all dressed in black, with a cloakish figure of a man. Me and my daughter decided to take a walk up to the beach i'd say around quarter to 8, maybe 8ish, to walk down the boardwalk and talk. Does anyone have any info or experiences regarding the stretch of road called "Five Mile" and the surrounding property where the "Tilly" house once stood? Since the mid-60s there have been rumors galore about satanic rituals taking place there (an altar of skulls was supposedly found). The Tilly house was allegedly the home of a witch who committed several murders (sacrifices, one assumes) and later killed herself. I believe the Tilly house either burned down or was torn down sometime in 2008. This place is easy to find. It's off of Route 66, just west of Yukon. When you get to N Frisco Road (there's an abandoned bar on the NE corner), turn north and drive across the railroad crossing. USE CAUTION...especially if you visit this area at night. There have been unconfirmed reports of visitors being chased away by individuals in hooded robes, possibly armed. Also, there are deep ruts in the road past the train tracks. There is a house in Layton, Utah known simply as the Gentile House. It is because it is on Gentile Avenue. This house was built in the late 1800's but is now in the middle of a brand new subdivision. During the 1970's, it was home to a family. The father was psychotic and on medication. One day he decided to stop taking his medication because he thought he didn't need it anymore. The voices came back and told him to kill his wife. He stabbed her 36 times. His daughter had been watching the entire time. He chased her out of the house and killed her too. His son had hidden under a covered wagon, the remains of which are still on the property. He shot him and called the police. He waited in the attic until they got there and he committed suicide by hanging himself in the attic.

Here more recently, numerous people a quarter to half a mile south of the place of the womens murder, and along the same creek, have seen a ghost who is a little old lady in old late 1800 to early 1900 period clothing. The sightings are actually pretty common to a few people, and all say the lady is nice. She has been seen walking the pasture and along the creek, sitting on the bed, and sitting in vehicles. Weird happenings have also occurred at the homes as well though. 4 homes within the mile have all burned, 3 of them within 7 years, items have turned on and off by themselves, other ghosts have been spotted, and in one house the hangers like to be moved by this unknown force.
