(built in 1835) I fell in love with this house. But things started happening, like footsteps and voices. Things would go missing, like keys, jewelry, etc...., and show up a day or two later. Walked into the kitchen one day and a cabinet door opened on its own. I had set a bottle of glass cleaner down, came back a minute later, picked it up and the cap had been unscrewed. I dropped it and it spilled everywhere. My pets are the strangest of all. My little yorkie will stare at this one area of my bedroom as though something was there. I mean, very intently. Sometimes he will cower down like he's been reprimanded. Both of my cats stare at things when nothing is there. They also get startled and frantically run away when nothing is around them. Last summer my oldest cat disappeared. She was an indoor cat that would only go as far as our porch. We searched everywhere for her. Considering her age, we thought she had died.
