He loved his popcorn so much, in fact, that when he died he was buried in a coffin filled with popcorn. Not so strange when you consider popcorn was a favorite packing material at the time (without butter of course). Snow's tomb is located just inside the entrance to the ghost town of North Dana off the end of Nichewaug Road. Then in the early part of the 20th century a fire changed all that. The fire seriousy damaged the home and killed two of the Davenport women, a young child and her mother. They say that the bodies of those who die a violent death linger.&lt;br&gt;The home was rebuilt but from that point on, no one would stay there. The family moved out fairly quickly and retained ownership until the 1950s when the house and property were bought by a large group from Boston who planned to use the house as a vacation get-a-way. No one wanted to talk about why, but the vacation get-a-s only lasted a couple years. The merry crew did not want to stay in the house. Rather than sell it, they abandoned it and let it fallinto disrepair. The town eventually took it for back taxes and turned it into a recreation area. The house was torn down but ... He was caught in July when, fearing discovery, he dug the pieces up and began burying them in a corn field. An elderly woman claims a portion of his home still exists as part of her modern home and that he was found hiding in back of "that" chimney when they came to get him. She reports she ssleeps in her living room because her bedroom door is known to open on its own, even on a quiet, windless night.&lt;br&gt;On the day of his hanging, the killer, Samuel Frost, was saidd to have remarked that "it is a warm day, but there'll be a frost in hell tonight."&lt;br&gt;...
